Earl Watson went hitless on five shot attempts on Monday, scoring zero points with one rebound and three assists in 17 minutes. Lines like these are the reason owners can't fully trust Watson, and even if Harris is announced to be out for a significant amount of time there are reasons not to like him. For what it's worth, we have not yet heard about Harris' status beyond tonight. Jamaal Tinsley put up three points with six assists in 18 minutes, and we're going to call the veteran duo an even timeshare split.

Earl Watson scored nine points on 2-of-4 shooting with seven rebounds, seven assists, and one steal in 28 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Kings. Watson played well enough to put Devin Harris on the bench late, and while Ty Corbin didn't say why we'd venture to think that it wasn't just the solid performance that put Watson in the game late. He has a running feud with DeMarcus Cousins, and it's possible that Corbin thought Watson could get under the temperamental big man's skin. Watson had alluded to wanting to fight Cousins last week. Fun stuff.

Earl Watson will resume his backup point guard duties ahead of Jamaal Tinsley. Now that Watson (ankle) is feeling back to normal, his demotion didn't last long. As long as Devin Harris is healthy and playing well, Watson won't have a chance at establishing consistent value in standard-sized leagues.
