Earl Watson made his season debut on Friday and had no points, two rebounds and two assists in the 104-102 win over the Kings. Watson may be needed for Utah with Mo Williams dealing with an ankle injury. He's still only an asset in very deep leagues even in the event Mo needs to miss time.

Earl Watson (knee surgery) will make his season debut on Friday. Watson hasn't played since undergoing surgery in April, and it will be nice to see him back on the court. We'd expect him to be worked in slowly as Jamaal Tinsley has played well in a backup role, averaging 5.3 assists.

Earl Watson (knee surgery), who has yet to play this season, could make his debut on Friday against the Kings. Tyrone Corbin said that it would depend on how Watson looks in practice over the next couple of days, but Watson is clearly getting close to a return. We've listed him as day-to-day and he'll serve in a backup PG role when he does return.

Earl Watson (knee) has rejoined the Jazz and been cleared to resume on-court activity. Watson is one step closer to getting back into game action after offseason surgery. Still, he has little fantasy value unless Mo Williams were to get hurt again.

Earl Watson (knee) is not with the Jazz and is instead having his surgically repaired knee evaluated in Southern California. Watson appears to be closing in on a return and will be a primary backup to Mo Williams when healthy. Ironically, his only real fantasy value would come if Williams were to get hurt and Williams appears on the mend from a strained adductor.

Earl Watson is building endurance and strength in his surgically-repaired knee. So far, so good for Watson, who seems like he's almost ready to return from surgery. When he does return, Watson will backup Mo Williams and will only sniff relevancy to owners if Williams goes down.

Earl Watson (knee) did not play on Monday against the Grizzlies. Watson returned to on-court workouts on Saturday, but it's unclear what role he'll have upon return. Current backup PG Jamaal Tinsley was a DNP-CD with Randy Foye playing the role of swing backup guard.

Earl Watson (knee) returned to on-court workouts on Saturday. Watson is recovering from medial meniscus surgery performed back in April, and this was the first time he's run or cut since the surgery. It's unclear when he'll resume playing 5-on-5, and his status for opening night remains uncertain.

Earl Watson (knee surgery) is "slowly" ramping up his on-court activity. Watson continues to rehab from knee surgery, and it's not a lock that he'll be able to play on opening night. If he's still sidelined once the regular season rolls around, Jamaal Tinsley will serve as Utah's primary backup PG behind Mo Williams.

Earl Watson (knee) is not sure whether he'll be ready to play in Utah's season opener. Watson declared himself "100 percent" in the same conversation, another reminder not to rely on the generic patter that comes out of Media Day. Mo Williams is the starting PG for the Jazz, and Watson will be fighting Jamaal Tinsley for reserve minutes.
