Barron signed a one-year contract Saturday with Toyama Grouses of the Basketball Japan League, the Japan Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old Barron has logged 140 career appearances at the NBA level with the Heat, Knicks, Suns, Bucks, Trail Blazers, Warriors, Wizards and Suns, last appearing in the league during the 2014-15 campaign. Given his age, it's likely that Barron will wind his career down overseas before heading into retirement.

Barron was waived by Atlanta Saturday, Chris Vivlamore of AJC.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barron played 16 games for the Suns last season, averaging 2.0 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.1 blocks in 8.9 minutes per game. The center played 29 minutes over four games with the hawks this preseason, scoring eight points and grabbing nine rebounds. At 34 years-old, it may be difficult for the veteran to crack another roster.

Barron had nine points and four rebounds in 25 minutes off the bench Tuesday against the Clippers. Barron was signed for the remainder of the season back on March 13, but only appeared in eight games after inking that deal. He topped 20 minutes in the final two games of the season following Phoenix's elimination from playoff contention.

Barron has been signed by the Suns for the remainder of the season, the Arizona Republic's Paul Coro reports. He finished two 10-day deals with the team, and they decided to keep him on as the third center on the depth chart. Despite his new found job security, Barron is a poor fantasy option as he will still struggle to see major minutes.

Barron started for Alex Len (ankle) and produced one points (0-2 FG, 1-2 FT) and two rebounds in 13 minutes in the loss to Cleveland on Saturday. Barron was on the court to try to counter Timofey Mozgov's size and he did use four fouls. He did not play in the Suns' two previous games and will return to the bench when Len is ready to go.

Barron is expected to start in place of Alex Len (ankle) against Cleveland on Saturday, Arizona Republic writer Paul Coro reports. Although Barron is the technical replacement for Len in the starting lineup, it's hard to envision the journeyman earning a high minute count or posting standout numbers. Brandan Wright is probably the best bet to pick up Len's actual production, even as he plays off the bench. Wright generally hasn't shown an ability to earn more than roughly 25 minutes in a game for Phoenix, on the other hand, so his upside is likely limited.

Barron signed a second 10-day contract with the Suns on Tuesday. The 33-year-old has appeared in five games, averaging 1.6 points and 0.8 rebounds in 5.5 minutes of mostly mop-up duty. He's posted impressive numbers in the D-League this season - 20.3 points, 10.9 rebounds - but is unlikely to make much of an impact at the NBA level.

Barron signed a 10-day contract with the Suns on Friday, Yahoo! Sports reports.Barron spent a 10-day stint with the Suns earlier this season and will now re-join the team following their trade of center Miles Plumlee on Thursday. Nonetheless, Barron is unlikely to enjoy a significant role with the Suns, making him a player with restricted fantasy value.

Barron was waived by the Suns on Saturday, Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reports. He wasn't likely to play a major role on the Suns in the first place, and his fantasy value gets further compromised with this move.

Barron has accepted an invitation to Suns training camp on a non-guaranteed contract, Azcentral Sports reports. The seven-year NBA veteran returns to Phoenix, where he played 12 games during the 2010-2011 season. With a lot of incumbent players ahead of Barron, it isn't likely that he will see any action, much less make the team. The veteran may have been brought on the team to help the younger players as an experienced competitor, but it is unlikely that he will provide any fantasy value this season.
