Amar'e knows that he doesn't have much time left in the league and is beginning to turn back the clock. He's posted back-to-back double-doubles and is consistently getting 20+ minutes a game with Hassan Whiteside out. The veteran forward shoulder definitely be owned in all deeper leagues until Whiteside is healthy.

Stoudemire was in the starting lineup and recorded a double-double with 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-4 FT) and 12 rebounds to go along with three steals and a block in just 21 minutes of Sunday's win over the Hawks.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran was starting again for the injured Hassan Whiteside and came through with a very efficient performance despite seeing rather limited playing time. Stoudemire has shown the ability to make a modest fantasy impact in an expanded role, but his playing-time restrictions generally put a firm cap on his production, as the double-double was his first of the season. Whiteside is unlikely to play in the team's next game Tuesday, so another start could be in store for Stoudemire, although what value he has generated will likely be nullified when the former returns.

Stoudemire is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Hawks.

EDGE Analysis

With Hassan Whiteside still sidelined because of an oblique injury, the Heat will keep Stoudemire in the starting lineup against the Hawks. Over his last three games as a starter, Stoudemire has averaged eight points, 8.3 rebounds and one assist over 24 minutes. Look for a similar minutes load again on Sunday.

Coach Erik Spoelstra stated before the game that he would stick with his current lineup construction that includes Stoudemire while Hassan Whiteside (hip) is sidelined. Receiving a season-high 26 minutes of court time and grabbing a season-high 10 boards, Stat balanced nicely with Chris Bosh in Miami's frontcourt. While Stoudemire's fantasy value is contingent on the return of regular starter Hassan Whiteside, it's clear that he'll receive minutes over Udonis Haslem or Jarnell Stokes in the interim.

With Hassan Whiteside out, the Heat have opted to start Amar'e Stoudemire at center Monday. He has been getting more playing time recently due to a rash of injuries on the Heat roster. Over the past four games Stoudemire's posting 6.8 points and 2.5 rebounds over 14.7 minutes per game. He should see as big of a workload as he has seen all year on Monday. He really only holds daily league value while Whiteside is out.

Stoudemire is barely cracking the Heat rotation this season. Over the last four games, he has averages of 3.8 points, two rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.3 blocks in eight minutes per contest. He is seeing fewer than 10 minutes per appearance in this his 14th season, and it's hard to envision a scenario where he becomes worthy of consideration in fantasy again without a serious increase in opportunities.

Stoudemire scored six points (1-2 FG, 4-6 FT) and added three rebounds, two steals, and one block over 13 minutes in Tuesday's 99-90 overtime loss to the Grizzlies.

EDGE Analysis

More notable that Stoudemire's modest stat line was the fact that he played in the Heat's third consecutive game, which have all come over a four-game span. The veteran big man had been plagued by knee issues throughout the first month and a half of the season, but his increased appearances of late seem to suggest he's finally feeling healthy. Even so, the Heat probably aren't looking to increase Stoudemire's role behind Chris Bosh and Hassan Whiteside, so his days of regularly hitting double digits in the scoring column are probably over.

EDGE Analysis

After not playing for a while because of an illness and to rest, Stoudemire is officially active for Friday's game. With Josh McRoberts (knee) out to rest his knee and Hassan Whiteside (ankle) a game-time decision, Stoudemire may be in line to get some run, but will likely be limited in his production.
