Ajinca was acquired by ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne of France on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Ajinca was traded to the Clippers in September but was then immediately waived. He spent much of the past year recovering from patellar tendon surgery and apparently was unable to land any deals within the NBA. Despite returning to his home country of France, there's still an outside shot of him returning to the NBA if he can put together a solid end to the Jeep Elite season.

Ajinca (quad) was traded to the Clippers and subsequently waived on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Clippers needed to clear some roster spots, so they sent Johnson to Pelicans and proceeded to cut Ajinca, as well as reserve point guard Jawun Evans to trim the roster to 15 players. Ajinca appeared in 39 games for the Pelicans last season, averaging 5.3 points and 4.5 rebounds in 15.0 minutes per game. The Frenchman will now enter the free agency pool and look to latch on with another franchise.

Ajinca (quad) has been ruled out for Thursday's preseason finale against the Raptors.
EDGE Analysis
Ajinca will finish the preseason without seeing the court once and is now in danger of missing the start of the regular season as he continues to work his way back from a right quadriceps strain. He'll have just under a week to get ready for Wednesday's regular-season opener, so look for the big man to potentially try and up his activity in the coming few days.

Ajinca (quadriceps) won't play in Wednesday's preseason game against Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Ajinca hasn't managed to take the court in the preseason because of a right quadriceps strain, but he's been trending in the right direction. With only one exhibition remaining before the regular season begins, the Pelicans would certainly like to see Ajinca play some minutes in Thursday's finale.

Ajinca (quadriceps) is out for Friday's preseason contest against the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
Ajinca has been battling a right quadriceps strain, but was able to get some shots up Thursday. He's still not feeling well enough to take the floor in a game, however.

Ajinca (quad) was seen getting shots up during Thursday's practice, Andrew Lopez of the Times-Picayune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ajinca has missed the first two games of the preseason because of a right quadriceps strain, but appears to be nearing the latter stages of his recovery. He was able to get some shots up at Thursday's practice and it seems as if he's slowly upping his activity. Still, Ajinca will likely miss at least one more preseason game considering the Pelicans matchup with the Knicks on Friday. At this point, Ajinca has a chance to be ready for the regular season, though he's not expected to be a fantasy contributor.

Ajinca has been ruled out for Monday's exhibition game against the Hawks with a right quadriceps strain, Andrew Lopez of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ajinca was sidelined for the preseason opener Sunday against the Chicago, but it was assumed that his absence was related to his recovery from the surgery he required in late March to address a left patellar tendon issue. The big man also required surgery in December for his right patellar tendon, but it appears neither procedure is behind his unavailability Monday, at least based on the Pelicans' injury report. Even if Ajinca's health takes a turn for the better before the regular season gets underway, he's not expected to factor into coach Alvin Gentry's rotation plans.

Ajinca (knee) has officially been ruled out for Sunday's preseason opener against the Bulls.
EDGE Analysis
It was reported less than a week ago that Ajinca has yet to resume 5-on-5 work, so it doesn't come as a huge surprise that he won't be ready for the preseason. Until Ajinca is able to up his activity, he should continue to miss time and at this point, it's unclear if he'll even be ready for the regular-season opener Oct. 17 against the Rockets. Ajinca didn't see the court at all during the 2017-18 campaign.

Ajinca (knee) has started participating in some player development work, but he's yet to be cleared for any 5-on-5, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ajinca underwent multiple knee surgeries last season, with his second one being performed at the end of March. While he's progressing well in his recovery and is reportedly close to being able to play 5-on-5, he's yet to be medically cleared to do so. Considering Ajinca hasn't taken part in a game since the 2016-17 season, he'll likely be brought along slowly and could need some time to get back into game shape once healthy. Either way, Ajinca is nothing more than emergency depth at center with the likes of Anthony Davis, Cheick Diallo and Jahlil Okafor all in the fold at the position.

Ajinca (knee) underwent surgery to correct a left patellar tendon issue Tuesday, Will Guillory of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. He is expected to return in 4-to-6 months.
EDGE Analysis
Ajinca, who hasn't played this season, underwent surgery on his right patellar tendon back in December and has not returned since then, apparently dealing with a similar issue in his other knee. He'll look to make a full recovery ahead of next year's training camp and provide depth at the center position.
