Rodriguez was outrighted to Triple-A Louisville on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Rodriguez was a non-factor in the organization last season due to a hamstring injury, and given his lack of prospect shine, the Reds opted to send him off the 40-man roster. He's only 24, so there's some room for development, although his strikeout woes could keep him from becoming anything more than an organizational depth piece.

Rodriguez (hamstring) was activated from the 60-day disabled list Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Rodriguez missed virtually the entire season due to a nagging hamstring injury, but now that the season is over, the Reds can place him back on the 40-man roster without any consequences. The 24-year-old will look to vie for an Opening Day roster spot once his hamstring is back to full health, although he could spend a bit more time in the minors if he doesn't impress during spring training.

Rodriguez (hamstring) has resumed his rehab assignment with High-A Daytona.
EDGE Analysis
He resumed the rehab assignment on Aug. 5 after being shut down in mid-July after aggravating the hamstring injury. Rodriguez has hit safely in all four rehab games this time around but remains a low-end option if he were to be activated and join the big league mix.

Rodriguez aggravated his hamstring injury during his rehab assignment on July 13th and hasn't played since, RedsMinorLeagues.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's essentially been a lost season for Rodriguez, who was just four games into his rehab assignment before the aggravation.

Rodriguez (hamstring) was transferred to the 60-day DL on Sunday, MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rodriguez doesn't appear to be too close to a return, as his recent rehab stint was cut short due to "aches or pains" in his leg. In the meantime, the Reds will move the outfielder off the 40-man roster in order to free up space for an extra reliever.

Rodriguez (hamstring) has had to stop playing games in extended spring training. "His legs got tired and heavy, and he had some aches or pains and whatever," manager Bryan Price said. "He wasn't able to carry the workload we had assigned him. From the last injury report, he's feeling much better as of yesterday. He should be re-invested in playing in some games soon."
EDGE Analysis
The Reds still have to decide what to do with Rodriguez once he returns from the DL, being out of options. This setback at least buys them some time.

Rodriguez (hamstring) has resumed taking batting practice and could begin a rehab assignment this week, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rodriguez could have an extended rehab assignment, given both the time off and the fact that he's out of options, thus giving the Reds more time to delay their decision.

Rodriguez (hamstring) is still having some tenderness in his hamstring and is not close to coming off the disabled list, Zach Buchanan of Cincinnati.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rodriguez injured his hamstring right at the end of spring training and still hasn't been able to get back to rehabbing his hamstring. Manager Bryan Price said that he doesn't see the outfielder beginning a rehab appearance until he's able to move around without any issues. When he does return, however, there's a good chance that he'll stick on the big club since he's out of options.

Rodriguez (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day DL by the Reds, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The move is retroactive to March 27. It helps buy some time for the Reds, as Rodriguez is out of options. This allows them to send him on a rehab assignment at Triple-A Louisville and get more at-bats there. Eventually they'll have to decide whether to fish or cut-bait with him this season.

Rodriguez (hamstring) will likely start the season on the disabled list, C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The outfielder has missed four games due to the ailment, and it seems that he'll start the season on the shelf due to how close to the season he got injured. Because of this development, Jose Peraza and Jordan Pacheco may find their way onto the Opening Day roster for the Reds.
