The Braves released Solarte on Aug. 27.
EDGE Analysis
Atlanta added Solarte to its 60-man roster pool shortly before summer camp started, but the veteran infielder was unable to win a spot on the Opening Day roster. The Braves didn't envision him making his way on the roster at any point in the near future, so Solarte was cut loose to pursue opportunities elsewhere.

Solarte will be a part of the Braves' 60-man roster, Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Solarte reached an agreement to play in Japan over the second half of 2019, but he signed a minor-league contract with the Braves in January as a non-roster invitee. He hit .182/.240/.227 with a double and two RBI this spring before play was suspended. Given his lackluster results in recent seasons, it's unlikely that he'll see significant major-league playing time during the abbreviated 2020 campaign.

Solarte signed a minor-league contract with the Braves on Wednesday as a non-roster invitee, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
EDGE Analysis
Solarte finished the 2019 season in Japan after only receiving a minor-league deal with the Marlins. The 32-year-old spent some time in the majors with the Giants at the beginning of the season, hitting .205/.247/.315 with seven RBI over 28 games prior to electing free agency. While Solarte has appeared in the majors in each of his past six seasons, his production has decreased in recent years.

Solarte was removed from his game Tuesday with Triple-A New Orleans after reaching agreement on a contract with a team in Japan, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After electing free agency in early May, Solarte landed with the Marlins on a minor-league deal just under a month later. Since his contract contained language allowing him to opt out and pursue opportunities elsewhere, the 31-year-old elected to do just that since a promotion to Miami seemingly wasn't imminent. Solarte, who slashed .314/.345/.451 over his 15 games with New Orleans, could resurface in North America in 2020 if MLB organizations are still interested in his services at that time.

Solarte was outrighted to Triple-A Sacramento and elected free agency Friday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis

Solarte is starting in left field and hitting second Tuesday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
While Solarte had been getting starts in place of Steven Duggar (wrist), who returns to the lineup Tuesday, he will now fill in for Gerardo Parra, who is in the midst of a brutal slump. Solarte is 7-for-20 with a home run and two doubles over his last seven games, and could continue to get steady work until he cools down at the plate.

Solarte started in left field and went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Monday's 3-2 win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Solarte has started five of the Giants' last six games, seeing most of those starts in the outfield in place of the injured Steven Duggar (wrist). The latter returned as a pinch-hitter Monday, which should signal an impending decline in playing time for Solarte. The veteran utility man and his .237/.286/.373 slash line should continue to see starts against southpaws at the keystone once Duggar is officially cleared to start.

Solarte went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Solarte hit the three-run homer during the ninth inning as the Giants attempted to erase a six-run deficit, though the comeback effort eventually came up short. The 31-year-old is slashing .235/.291/.373 with seven RBI in 51 at-bats.
