Snider was re-signed to a minor league deal with the Royals on Friday, Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old outfielder was a non-roster invitee to camp this spring, and though he was released from his deal Wednesday, the Royals will bring him back on a minor league camp. He had a respectable .262 average with two home runs with the Royals this spring, but his 17 strikeouts in 42 at-bats did not mesh well with Kansas City's high OBP philosophy. Snider will likely start the season at Triple-A Omaha and his chances of being called up to the major leagues are largely dependent on the Royals' health in the outfield.

Snider was released by the Royals on Wednesday, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Snider was battling Reymond Fuentes and Whit Merrifield for a role with the club, while batting .268 with two home runs and six RBI during spring training. The 28-year-old has bounced around the minor leagues throughout his career but hit .232 last season during 237 at-bats in the majors. The Royals may hope to re-sign Snider on a minor league deal.

Snider could make the final 25-man roster as a reserve outfielder while Jarrod Dyson is out with a strained oblique, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Snider is battling Reymond Fuentes and Whit Merrifield for a bench role with Paulo Orlando set to start in right field with Dyson hurt. Snider may behind Fuentes at this point as he's hitting just .200 (4-for-20) with a home run in 11 games.

Snider signed a minor-league deal with the Royals on Saturday, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
This will be Snider's third team in two years, after a season split between Baltimore and Pittsburgh. The veteran is still only 27, but he is going to have to improve several facets of his game to find a regular role with the Royals, which already features Alex Gordon, Jarrod Dyson, and Paulo Orlando in the corner outfield.

Snider will elect to become a free agent, MLB reporter for SB Nation Chris Cotillo reports.
EDGE Analysis
Snider struggled in his 87 appearances with the Orioles and Pirates this season, posing a .232/.313/.350 slash line to go along with just four home runs. He should at least get some interest in the form of a minor league contract, but it remains to be seen if Snider will find a spot with another MLB club in the offseason.

EDGE Analysis
Snider has five hits (including two homers) in 11 career at-bats against starter Jason Hammel. He replaces Gregory Polanco, who will get a chance to rest his achy knee.

Snider struck out on three pitches in a pinch-hitting role Tuesday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
He hit .314 in 35 Triple-A at bats with Indianapolis prior to his recall. Snider becomes Pittsburgh's primary left-handed bat off the bench but he'll need to do better than Tuesday if he intends to keep the role.

Snider was called up from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
After being released by the Orioles in mid-August, Snider agreed to rejoin the Pirates, with whom he spent most of the previous three seasons. Snider struggled to a .659 OPS in 69 games with Baltimore, but he had a .264/.338/.438 line across 359 plate appearances just last season, and his addition bolsters what's already a very deep bench in Pittsburgh. He could even see occasional starts in the corner outfield.
