Ibanez was not included on the Royals' ALDS roster, Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star reports. Ibanez was on the team's Wild Card roster, but did not end up appearing in the game and will not be active for the Division Series. He played in 90 games this season between Anaheim and Kansas City, posting just a .167/.264/.285 batting line and five homers in 280 plate appearances. This may be the end of the line for the 42-year-old.

Raul Ibanez went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a run scored in a win over the White Sox on Tuesday. Ibanez' RBI double started the scoring in what would be a four-run sixth inning for the Royals. He had been 4-for-35 in his Royals tenure prior to Tuesday's two-hit game. With the club still holding out Wild Card aspirations and Ibanez going nowhere but down, it wouldn't be surprising to see the team make a move to replace the 42-year-old in the coming weeks.

Raul Ibanez singled and smacked a solo homer in Wednesday's win over the Twins. He scored a pair of runs on the day. Ibanez was the offensive star in what was his second start in three games since joining the Royals. Kansas City plans to continue using him in right field often while Norichika Aoki (groin) is on the disabled list. He's hit only .167/.263/.287 with the Angels and Royals but is probably worth using in AL-only formats.

Royals signed DH Raul Ibanez. Ibanez was released by the Angels on June 21 after batting just .157 with a .523 OPS in 57 games. The 42-year-old is doubtful to suddenly shine in Kansas City, where he'll be a bench bat and part-time designated hitter. Ibanez will make the MLB minimum with the Royals. Anaheim is still on the hook for his one-year, $2.75 million deal.

Angels released DH Raul Ibanez. Ibanez, 42, was batting just .157 with a .523 OPS through 57 games this season for the Halos, who are still on the hook for what remains of his one-year, $2.75 million contract. Ibanez seems likely to consider retirement.

Raul Ibanez went 0-for-4 before being removed for a defensive replacement Wednesday against the Astros. Ibanez is 0-for-11 in June. He still has a job mostly because of his early-April RBI binge, but he's currently been stuck on 20 RBI since May 15. His batting average hasn't seen .200 since way back on April 13, and he's actually hovered below .160 for over a month now. The Angels aren't going to be able to justify carrying him for much longer at this rate.

Angels general manager Jerry Dipoto indicated Monday that Raul Ibanez's roster spot isn't in jeopardy. The Angels have some roster decisions upcoming, as David Freese (finger) and Kole Calhoun (ankle) will return this week and Josh Hamilton (thumb) and Ian Stewart (hand) are due back next week. Grant Green, C.J. Cron and Efren Navarro have come up recently and contributed, but it appear at least a couple of them will lose than roster spots instead of Ibanez, who is batting a sickly .148/.268/.269. "Raul has a track record," Dipoto said. "He has done this before. He has gone through cold spells, and he has gotten hot. There's nobody here who believes Raul has had his last good days in the big leagues."

Raul Ibanez went 0-for-4 as the Angels' cleanup man and designated hitter on Friday. Ibanez is hitting just .149 through 87 at-bats, but since he's somehow managed 17 RBI anyway, the Angels aren't likely to cast him off anytime soon. He sure doesn't make it easy for anyone behind him to drive in runs, though.

Raul Ibanez returned to action on Sunday, striking out as a pinch-hitter to make the final out of a loss to the Yankees. Ibanez had been sidelined due to an illness, but was called upon to hit for Collin Cowgill with the tying run on second base with two outs in the ninth. Yankees closer David Robertson needed just four pitches to dispatch of him to end the game. It's likely that he'll return to his regular DH spot in the lineup for Monday's series opener against the Indians.

Raul Ibanez is not in the Angels starting lineup for Sunday night's game against the Yankees due to illness Ibanez also sat out Saturday's game with the ailment. He's hitting just .157/.224/.314 at the plate this season, so perhaps the Halos are better off without him in the lineup. David Freese will serve as the designated hitter on Sunday with Ian Stewart covering the hot corner.
