Masset was released by the Marlins last Tuesday, but will rejoin the organization as part of the Triple-A club. The right-hander tossed 45 frames with the Rockies in 2014, posting a 5.80 ERA and shaky 4.8 BB/9 rate. He'll serve as organizational depth in the minors until the need for an extra bullpen arm arises.

Masset provided little in the way of relief for Tommy Kahnle, who was charged with three runs of his own in the Diamondbacks' nine-run eighth inning.
