Bourn was released by the Angels on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
His pro career appears to be coming to a close. He has hit .248/.335/.350 across stops with Triple-A affiliates of the Angels and Orioles, and no longer provides valuable outfield defense.

Bourn signed a minor-league contract with the Angels on Friday, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bourn was released by the Orioles in late May, but given the Angels' precarious outfield situation, the two sides seemed like a fit. He'll head to Triple-A Salt Lake to start, but he could find his way to the majors to provide reinforcements if he shows any semblance of his former self at the plate with the Bees.

Bourn was released from his minor-league contract with the Orioles on Wednesday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bourn exercised his opt-out clause Tuesday, and given the .220 batting average he produced in 11 games with Triple-A Norfolk, it comes as no surprise that they opted not to move him up to the big-league roster. The 34-year-old's experience could be a calling card in free agency, although his best days are certainly behind him.

Bourn is not traveling with Triple-A Norfolk after utilizing the opt-out clause in his contract Tuesday, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Orioles now have 24 hours to either send the veteran to the big leagues or to grant him his release from the team. As a roster formality, Bourn was sent down to Low-A Aberdeen to clear space on the Tides' roster, but more likely than not, he'll likely be heading into free agency. More information on this should be revealed in the next day or so.

Bourn (finger) reported to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bourn was able to take part in some games at expended spring training for the past week and experienced no issues with his fractured right ring finger, prompting the team to clear him for minor-league action. It's expected that Bourn will play at least a handful of games with Norfolk before the Orioles determine whether he's worthy of a spot on the 25-man roster. If the Orioles decide to purchase Bourn's contract, he'd likely serve in a backup capacity in the team's outfield.

Bourn will begin playing in extended spring training games Tuesday, and assigned to Triple-A Norfolk after logging somewhere between 35-40 at-bats at camp, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bourn was released, re-signed and sent to Sarasota all in a matter of two weeks in early April. The veteran entered spring training in March with the hope of challenging for some major-league at-bats, but a broken fingers ended those aspirations. Bourn will be on the radar for a call up if the O's need depth later in 2017, but until then, he's best left on your fantasy waiver wire.

Bourn re-signed Tuesday with the Orioles on a minor-league contract, MASN Sports' Roch Kubatko reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bourn had previously inked a minor-league contract with the Orioles in February, but his bid to make the Opening Day roster was foiled after he broke his right ring finger while playing football before spring training began. The 34-year-old's injured digit has just about healed up, so he'll head to extended spring training and presumably play in simulated games, during which the Orioles will determine if he can be of use at the major-league level. The performance of fifth outfielder Craig Gentry may ultimately dictate if Bourn eventually gets a call back to the big leagues.

Bourn (finger) and the Orioles are working towards a new contract, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bourn was released in spring training after he suffered a broken finger that will keep him out of action until late April. He was in camp as a non-roster invitee with a contract that would have paid $2 million had he earned a spot on the major league squad. Expect Bourn to sign a similarly structured contract with a lower salary due to the time he is slated to miss.

Bourn was granted his release from the Orioles on Monday after he opted out of his minor league contract, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
This isn't too much of a surprise, as Bourn broke his finger early in spring training and hasn't seen any game action since. The 34-year-old's timetable was recently pushed back to late-April, so he decided to utilize his opt-out close as the Orioles were unlikely to carry him on its 40-man roster. There was a chance he would stay in the organization while rehabbing to see if there was an opportunity for him when he was healthy, but he ultimately decided to look elsewhere while he continues to recover.

Bourn's timetable to return from a broken finger has been pushed back to late April "at the earliest," Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder broke his right index finger earlier in the spring but was initially targeting a return within the first couple weeks of the season. However, after visiting a hand specialist Friday, Bourn's timetable has since been pushed back. With Bourn on the shelf for most of the first month of the season, the Orioles will be short on depth in center field options behind Adam Jones.
