Estrada (hip) won't be healthy enough to come off the disabled list during Toronto's weekend series with Boston, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Blue Jays had initially hoped Estrada would return sometime over the weekend, but after he tossed a bullpen session Wednesday, it was determined his return prior to the break isn't an option. Instead, Toronto will ensure he's healthy by waiting until after the All-Star Game to use him. Estrada could pitch next against Baltimore on July 22.

Estrada (hip) played catch Sunday and could throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
After Monday's team off day, the Blue Jays plan to check in on Estrada prior to Tuesday's game against the Braves to see how his strained left glute responded to the flat-ground throwing session. If Estrada reports no renewed pain, he'll likely resume mound work Wednesday and could be cleared to start Friday or Saturday against the Red Sox. After a rough first two months of the season, Estrada has been effective since the beginning of June, posting a 2.90 ERA and 28:8 K:BB in 31 innings over his last six starts.

Estrada's MRI on Wednesday revealed a mild glute strain, Mike Wilner of BlueJaysTalk reports.
EDGE Analysis
Estrada left Tuesday's contest after facing just three batters and could potentially land on the disabled list according to manager John Gibbons. The team will have a couple days to decide whether he will need a stint on the shelf, so expect an update on his status in the near future.

Estrada exited Tuesday's game against the Mets due to left hip soreness, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Estrada faced only three batters before leaving the game -- recording one out and ultimately being charged with two runs -- and threw only 12 pitches. X-rays came back negative but the severity of the issue remains unclear. The 34-year-old is slated to face the Braves next Tuesday, and he should be considered day-to-day while he is evaluated further.

Estrada didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Astros, giving up four runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks over five innings while striking out only one.
EDGE Analysis
The Jays staked him to a five-run lead before he even took the mound, but the right-hander quickly gave three of them back in the bottom of the first and then ground out four more frames to qualify for his fifth win of the year. Unfortunately for Estrada, Alex Bregman slugged a two-run homer off Ryan Tepera in the ninth to spoil it. Estrada will take a 4.53 ERA into his next outing Tuesday at home against the Mets.

Estrada (4-7) took the loss against the Angels on Friday, despite a solid outing in which he gave up two earned runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking two in the Blue Jays' 2-1 defeat.
EDGE Analysis
Estrada is in a groove at the moment, as he's now thrown six innings and given up less than three earned runs in each of last four starts, a stretch where he's posted a 2-1 record and a 26:4 K:BB. His 4.48 ERA and 1.27 WHIP still don't look especially appealing thanks to an erratic start to the season, but he's worked his way back to viability as a streaming option, and Estrada could see his stock rise beyond that should he show he can keep this recent form going. The veteran right-hander does have to contend with a tough matchup in his next outing, which will see him take on the Astros next Wednesday.

Estrada (4-6) picked up the win in Saturday's 2-0 victory over the Nationals, giving up three hits and two walks over 6.2 scoreless innings while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander pounded the strike zone all day in his best start of the season, throwing 76 of 109 pitches for strikes. Estrada's now delivered three straight quality starts, picking an excellent time to right the ship on his campaign as trade winds begin to blow through the Jays' roster. He'll take a 4.66 ERA into his next outing Friday on the road against the Angels.

Estrada (3-6) allowed two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out nine across six innings Sunday as he notched the win over Baltimore.
EDGE Analysis
Both of Estrada's earned runs came as a result of the long ball. Trey Mancini hit a homer in the second and Jonathan Schoop went deep in the seventh, although Estrada exited the game with an 11-run lead. He sports a 5.09 ERA, but he's pitched well in his last two starts, surrendering just three runs and fanning 15 over 12 innings. Estrada is scheduled to take the mound again Saturday versus Washington.

Estrada allowed one run on six hits over six innings in Tuesday's loss to the Yankees. He struck out six but did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Estrada worked through the first six innings of Tuesday's contest with relative ease, with only two of his six hits on the night going for extra bases. He entered for the seventh inning but was removed after allowing a leadoff single to Gary Sanchez. Reliever Seung Hwan Oh then entered the game and promptly gave up four runs, adding the sole earned run to Estrada's ledger. It was a strong performance by the veteran starter who had given up four runs in each of his last two starts. He'll take the mound again Sunday against the Orioles.

Estrada (2-6) allowed four runs on seven hits over 3.2 innings in Tuesday's loss to the Red Sox. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Estrada -- who entered Tuesday's contest having allowed the most extra-base hits in the majors (35) -- allowed a pair of runs in the first inning on a Xander Bogaerts single followed by back-to-back doubles from Mitch Moreland and J.D. Martinez. He then surrendered two more doubles in the second inning and was finally yanked from the contest after serving up another pair of hits and a run in the fourth. It's been a tumultuous season for the veteran, but he'll look to reduce his unsightly 5.68 ERA in his upcoming start against the Yankees on Monday.
