Estrada (7-9) gave up three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out four in 5.1 innings Monday against the Orioles. He picked up the win.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't a particularly efficient start, as Estrada needed 97 pitches (62 strikes) to get 16 outs, but he was able to pick up the win easily, as his teammates tagged Andrew Cashner for five earned runs and Blue Jays' bullpen slammed the door. Estrada has now won three of his last four starts, although he only has a quality start in one of those outings. His two-start week should continue Sunday at home against the Phillies.

Estrada (6-9) got the win Wednesday, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out three over 6.2 innings against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Estrada struggled mainly with Salvador Perez, allowing three hits -- including two home runs -- to the Kansas City backstop, but he was otherwise mostly able to contain the Royals' bats. Despite the win, the 35-year-old has allowed multiple long balls in consecutive starts, and at least four runs three times in his last four outings. He'll take a mediocre 4.87 ERA and 6.6 K/9 into Monday's start against the Orioles.

Estrada (5-8) allowed one run on one hit and two walks while striking out four over seven innings in a win over the Mariners on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Estrada wasn't exactly dominant (eight swinging strikes on 93 pitches), but he was successful regardless as Seattle couldn't find any holes in the field. After outperforming his peripherals for many years, Estrada has crashed hard over the past two seasons, with all the homers finally catching up to him. His 10.4 percent K-BB rate this year is his worst mark since his rookie season in 2008. Estrada draws the Rays at home next weekend.

Estrada (hip) was reinstated from the 10-day DL prior to Monday's start against Oakland, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Estrada will be back on the mound in a big-league game for the first time since July 3, when he suffered a mild left glute strain versus the Mets. In 17 starts this year, he's logged a 4.72 ERA and 1.32 WHIP with 70 strikeouts in 89.2 innings.

Estrada (hip) will throw a side session Friday and is expected to start against Oakland on Monday, Mike Wilner of BlueJaysTalk reports.
EDGE Analysis
Estrada has been receiving treatment on a right middle finger blister that forced him to leave Tuesday's minor-league rehab assignment, but it appears as though his hip is headed in the right direction for a return from the DL next week. If all goes well during Friday's session, look for him to take the mound in Oakland on Monday.

Estrada (hip) left Tuesday's minor-league rehab start after developing a blister on his right middle finger, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Estrada was originally a candidate to start Monday's game for the Blue Jays, but the team opted for another rehab appearance following Saturday's bullpen session. The 35-year-old pitched 3.1 innings prior to exiting, and the blister is currently considered a day-to-day issue. The good news at this point is Estrada avoided aggravating the glute strain that landed him on the disabled list just before the All-Star break, but the blister certainly complicates his return timetable.

Estrada (hip) will not start for the Blue Jays on Monday against the Twins, but will instead pitch in a Double-A game, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Estrada threw a bullpen session Saturday that was expected to determine his availability for Monday's start, and the results were apparently not favorable enough to receive the green light. He'll head to the minors for additional rehab, with the goal being to return during next weekend's series against the White Sox. As far as Monday goes, the team hasn't announced a starter, but it appears a bullpen game could be a possibility depending on how deep into the game J.A. Happ can pitch Sunday.

Estrada (hip) will toss a side session Saturday, which will determine whether he's able to return from the 10-day DL in advance of his expected start against the Twins on Monday, Mike Wilner of BlueJaysTalk reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager John Gibbons said that if all goes according to plan, Estrada will take the mound Monday. The right-hander was initially placed on the disabled list prior to the All-Star break due to a left glute strain.

Estrada (hip) is scheduled to start the Blue Jays' fourth game out of the All-Star break, July 23 against the Twins, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear whether the Jays plan to have Estrada make a rehab start during the break or simply throw on the side, but regardless, it sounds like the right-hander will be a go right away to begin the second half. A glute strain put Estrada on the DL earlier this month. He has seen his K/9 drop from 8.5 last year to 7.0 so far in 2018 while his home-run rate has remained the same, so there isn't much reason to think his 4.72 ERA will improve significantly over the remainder of the season.

Estrada (hip) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Friday with a left glute strain.
EDGE Analysis
Estrada exited Tuesday's start against the Mets with the injury and wasn't going to be ready for a return at Boston this weekend, so the Blue Jays are sending him to the DL. The 35-year-old will hopefully have ample time to recover with the All-Star break allowing the team to realign their starting rotation, and Estrada could pitch July 22 against the Orioles if healthy enough to return.
