Gilbert (3-0) earned the win over Houston on Saturday, allowing two hits and four walks while striking out six batters over eight scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gilbert tied a season-high mark with four walks, but that didn't hurt him since he gave up just a pair of hits (both singles). The right-hander notched his fifth straight quality start and lowered his season ERA to 1.69, fifth-lowest among qualified MLB pitchers. Gilbert also ranks fifth among qualified starters with a 0.79 WHIP while registering a 50:13 K:BB through 48 innings on the campaign.

Gilbert did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks. He allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out nine in 6.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gilbert allowed an early solo home run to Christian Walker in the second. He was then able to keep the Diamondbacks off the scoreboard until Eugenio Suarez doubled home another run in the seventh to even things up at 2-2, ultimately knocking Gilbert from the game and spoiling his chance at a win. Still, it was another excellent outing from the 27-year-old. His nine strikeouts were a season-high and he's managed to go at least six innings and all but one start so far. Gilbert now owns a sparkling 2.03 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 44:9 K:BB in 40 innings and lines up to face the Astros on the road next weekend.

Gilbert (2-0) picked up the win Tuesday against Texas, allowing two hits and four walks across 6.2 scoreless innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Gilbert surpassed six innings pitched for the fourth time in five starts this season, notching his first scoreless outing of the campaign. He battled issues with command and walked a pair of batters in the first but otherwise kept himself out of danger. He was removed from the contest with runners on first and third but was saved by Ryne Stanek, who forced Leody Taveras into an inning-ending groundout. Gilbert has posted four quality starts this season and boasts the most innings pitched (33.2) of anybody with fewer than six starts. He's scheduled for a Sunday start against Arizona.

Gilbert (1-0) earned the win over the Reds on Tuesday, allowing just one run on three hits and a walk while striking out six over 6.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gilbert put together another stellar outing and was able to face the minimum through four innings before the Reds tacked on a run in the fifth. Tuesday's outing marks his third start in four tries this season going at least 6.2 innings and giving up one earned run or fewer. He now owns a 2.33 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 29:4 K:BB in 27 innings. His 0.78 WHIP is tied for third in the majors among pitchers who have thrown at least 20 innings this year. Gilbert projects to take the mound again next week in a road matchup against the Rangers.

Gilbert didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Blue Jays, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over 7.2 innings. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Gilbert was excellent Wednesday, holding the Blue Jays scoreless through six innings before allowing a lone run on a Vladimir Guerrero homer in the seventh. The 26-year-old Gilbert has struck out 23 batters through his first three starts, ranked second-most in the league in the early going -- he's averaging 10.18 K/9 this year, up from his career average of 8.97. While Gilbert has yet to earn a win this year, he's posted an impressive 2.66 ERA with a 0.84 WHIP through his first 20.1 innings. Gilbert currently lines up for a home matchup with the Reds in his next outing.

Gilbert yielded four runs on five hits and a walk over 5.2 inning and did not factor in the decision Friday. He fanned seven batters during the loss to Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
Gilbert served up three solo homers Friday, including one to Willy Adames in the second inning to open the scoring. Last season, Gilbert allowed three homers just one time in his 32 starts. The 26-year-old forced 13 whiffs Friday, with five coming via the slider. Gilbert is currently on track for a start in Toronto next week.

Gilbert tossed seven innings in a no-decision against Boston on Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out eight batters.
EDGE Analysis
Gilbert threw a first-pitch strike to 18 of the 26 batters he faced and gave up just one extra-base hit -- a fifth-inning Ceddanne Rafaela leadoff double that led to the lone run Boston managed against the hurler. Gilbert also induced a healthy 16 swinging strikes en route to fanning eight Red Sox batters. Though Seattle's offense was unable to produce enough to get Gilbert a win, this was an excellent first start for the right-hander, who is looking to build off last year's 3.73 ERA and career-best 1.08 WHIP.

Gilbert allowed two earned runs on four hits and two walks over 4.2 innings in a Cactus League tie with the Cubs on Sunday. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Gilbert was tagged for solo home runs by Michael Busch and Garrett Cooper in the third and fifth inning, respectively, for the only two runs he surrendered, but the right-hander otherwise put together an encouraging tune-up for the regular season. Gilbert finished the Cactus League slate with a 6.75 ERA across 16 innings, yet almost all his trouble was limited to two of his five starts. Gilbert finished with a 14:2 K:BB across the 9.2 innings covering his last two spring turns, and he'll now turn his attention to his regular-season debut Saturday against the Red Sox.

Gilbert has allowed a combined 10 runs on nine hits, three walks and a hit batsman over the 4.1 innings covering his last two Cactus League starts.
EDGE Analysis
The talented right-hander was hit hard by both the Rangers and Padres in those outings, giving up a pair of home runs to the latter. However, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports manager Scott Servais wasn't discouraged by Gilbert's overall performance versus San Diego, with the Seattle skipper noting "Logan's stuff today was the best it has been all spring," while complimenting the life on his fastball and the late movement on his secondary pitches after that outing. Gilbert maintains he feels "pretty comfortable" after three Cactus League outings, and he lines up for what will likely be two more opportunities to work out any kinks before the start of the season.

Gilbert did not factor into the decision in the Mariners' Cactus League loss to the Royals on Wednesday, firing two scoreless innings during which he issued a walk and recorded three strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
While Seattle's bullpen would go on to surrender nine runs, Gilbert's dominant performance did not portend any of what was to come. The talented right-hander put together a nearly perfect performance as he begins a process of trying to be more creative with his pitch mix in deeper counts and attacking right-handed hitters, who have a .741 OPS against him thus far in his career. Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports Gilbert feels the most comfortable he has to date entering a season, partly due to his experience and the addition of a splitter that he is hoping will make him less predictable. "I have more options this year," Gilbert said. "The main thing is just not getting yourself boxed in, especially in this league. ,,,I have to really find a way to get myself out if I get myself in a jam with guys on and I'm behind in the count, being able to get out of that. And I think I have the weapons to do that now."
