Broxton signed a minor-league deal with the Brewers on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Broxton was cut by the Twins in mid-August after posting a .181/.284/.330 slash line in 72 games at the Triple-A level this year. The 31-year-old has a .736 OPS over parts of three MLB seasons with the Brewers, but he hasn't seen the majors since 2019 and has struggled in his attempts to carve out a role elsewhere.

The Twins released Broxton on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Even with Byron Buxton missing considerable time this season due to an assortment of injuries and other key outfielders spending time on the shelf, Broxton never put himself in position for a call-up to Minnesota. The 31-year-old struggled mightily at the plate for Triple-A St. Paul this season, slashing .186/.288/.335 while striking out in a whopping 44 percent of his plate appearances. Broxton hasn't appeared in the majors since 2019, and his rough showing at Triple-A makes it unlikely that he'll ever make it back to the highest level.

Broxton was reassigned to minor-league camp, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Broxton had a strong spring by hitting .308 (8-for-26) with a home run, but he didn't really have a chance to make the major-league roster without a starter getting hurt. However, given Byron Buxton's injury history, Broxton could be called up at some point. He'll add depth at Triple-A in the meantime.

Broxton hit a home run in his only at-bat in Sunday's spring training win over Tampa Bay. He's 5-for-8 with a home run this spring and could win a final reserve outfield spot, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not clear how the Twins will utilize the last spot in their bench. Willians Astudillo will likely be the last bench spot since he can be a third catcher and play multiple positions. However, the Twins may prefer a right-handed hitting outfielder since they have so many left-handed hitting outfielders. Broxton could win the role as a result, especially given his defense and ability to play center field. He more likely begins the season at Triple-A and the Twins shuffle their last bench spot around based on needs during the season.

Broxton signed with the Twins as a non-roster invitee Monday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.
EDGE Analysis
Broxton has had success at the big-league level in the past, hitting a solid .242/.354/.430 with 23 steals in 75 games for the Brewers back in 2016. He's had plenty of failure, too, hitting just .200/.280/.376 over 294 games since then. He spent all of last season stuck at the Brewers' alternate training site. If an injury crisis opens up a job for him this season, he could help fantasy teams out with a handful of steals, but his batting average drain may cancel that out.

Broxton will open the season as the Brewers' alternate training site, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Broxton had a chance to make the Brewers' 30-man roster, but the team decided to keep only five outfielders and he was not among that group. He will be among the options should the club need to add an outfielder to the big-league roster at any point.

Broxton (personal) is in the lineup for Friday's intrasquad matchup.
EDGE Analysis
Broxton was away from the team for several days to be present for the birth of his daughter, but he'll return to action in Friday's intrasquad game. Given the brevity of his absence, it's unlikely that it would impact his game readiness with Opening Day a week away.

Broxton is away from the team while tending to a personal matter, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Broxton isn't currently in camp, but general manager David Stearns said Thursday that the team expects that he'll be back soon. The 30-year-old isn't currently on the 40-man roster, but he's competing for a spot with the major-league club ahead of the regular season.

Broxton will attend Summer Camp with the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Broxton spent all of spring training with the Brewers after re-signing with the club over the offseason, and he will continue competing for a spot when camp re-opens. Broxton has some work to do to make the cut, but with more roster spots available and Ryan Braun likely filling the DH spot frequently, Broxton's chances of breaking camp with the big club have improved.

Broxton signed a minor-league deal that includes an invitation to spring training with the Brewers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The Brewers traded Broxton to the Mets for a trio of prospects in January, but he'll rejoin the club after struggling across multiple organizations in 2019 with a .167/.242/.275 slash line in 228 plate appearances. The 29-year-old put up 29 home runs, 44 stolen bases and a .741 OPS in 218 games with Milwaukee in 2017 and 2018, and the team undoubtedly hopes he can rediscover that offensive form in 2020. Christian Yelich, Lorenzo Cain, Ryan Braun and Ben Gamel should make up the Brewers' top four outfielders to start spring training, but Broxton could be a decent depth option behind them with a rebound campaign.
