The Philadelphia Phillies have signed infielder Jake Elmore to a minor league deal. He has not appeared in an MLB game since 2019. During that season, Elmore batted .213/.245/.234 in 20 games. Elmore has never hit well during his time in the majors and that's unlikely going to change. This is mostly a depth signing and it's unlikely that Elmore even gets a chance to play in Philly. Fantasy managers can go ahead and continue to avoid Elmore going forward.

The Cleveland Indians have signed catcher Steve Baron, infielder Jake Elmore and relief pitcherDavid Hernandez to minor league deals on Friday. Baron will report to the clubs Lake County camp, while Elmore and Hernandez will report to Progressive Field in Cleveland. Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day IL Monday. The move opens up a spot for Jake Elmore on the 40-man roster.
