The Braves will not tender a contract to RHP Jair Jurrjens. An easy call, as Jurrjens struggled miserably at the major league level in 2012 and simply wasn't worth bringing back at close to his $5.5 million salary. However, it's a safe bet that plenty of teams will be willing to buy in on a potential rebound. Peter Moylan will also be non-tendered, but could be brought back at a discounted rate.

The Braves are not expected to offer Jair Jurrjens a contract prior to Friday's deadline. It's no surprise, as Jurrjens flopped in 2012 and is due a raise in arbitration from his $5.5 million salary. Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reported earlier this month that Jurrjens was drawing some trade interest, but it seems unlikely the Braves will get anything for him when teams know he's likely to be non-tendered. The Bravos could also non-tender reliever Peter Moylan.

Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that Jair Jurrjens is "drawing some trade interest." The Braves understandably want to move Jurrjens, as he's unlikely to crack next year's rotation and is due a raise in arbitration from his $5.5 million salary this season. While Jurrjens had an injury-riddled, disappointing 2012, he finished the year healthy, so it's possible someone will take a shot on him rebounding.

Jair Jurrjens (dehydration) has been deemed "fine." Jurrjens spent Wednesday night in the hospital after exiting a rehab start at Triple-A Gwinnett with a feeling of dizziness that was brought on by dehydration. He should be ready to pitch again in four days and could rejoin the Braves as a long reliever later this month.

Jair Jurrjens (groin) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Friday with Triple-A Gwinnett. It was previously reported that Jurrjens would pitch Monday, but that was incorrect. The 26-year-old right-hander will likely stay in the minors for the rest of August before rejoining the Braves in September, though it will likely be in a relief role.

Jair Jurrjens will be skipped in the starting rotation this weekend against the Phillies. Jurrjens has allowed 14 runs in just 5 2/3 innings across his past two outings and could be headed for the minors if the Braves acquire a starting pitcher before the non-waiver trade deadline. Ben Sheets is now scheduled to start Friday while Mike Minor will pitch Saturday and Tim Hudson will go on Sunday.

Jair Jurrjens was pummeled by the Giants Tuesday, allowing eight runs on eight hits and three walks over just 3 1/3 innings. Ugly. Jurrjens had pitched pretty well since returning from the minors, but the Giants had no trouble squaring him up from the get-go in this one. The blowup now holds a 6.20 ERA and 1.78 WHIP for the year. He'll face the Nats this weekend.

Jair Jurrjens scattered six hits and three runs across seven innings of work Sunday, improving to 3-2 in Atlanta's 4-3 win over the Phillies. Jurrjens struck out four and walked one in his second quality start in four outings since rejoining the Braves rotation. The owner of a 4.97 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 18/15 K/BB ratio through 41 2/3 total frames this season, tread carefully with Jurrjens in mixed leagues in the second half.

Jair Jurrjens turned in another solid outing in Tuesday's win over the Cubs, scattering nine hits over five innings without allowing an earned run. Sure, it's hard to technically "scatter" nine hits, but he was able to pitch out of trouble for most of the game. The Cubs did manage to push three runs across in the third inning, but only after a Dan Uggla throwing error extended the inning. It's an admittedly small sample, but Jurrjens is now 2-0 with a 1.47 ERA in three starts since rejoining the Braves' rotation. He won't generate any strikeouts, and could turn back into a pumpkin at any time, but there may be mixed league fantasy value here. He makes for an interesting option this Sunday when he takes on the Phillies in Philadelphia.
