Orioles designated RHP Jair Jurrjens for assignment. Jurrjens allowed four runs over 7 1/3 innings during his two appearances with the O's this season and has posted a 4.06 ERA and 1.25 WHIP at Triple-A. He had options remaining, but Baltimore needed to clear room on the 40-man roster for the arrival of Brian Roberts.
