The Seattle Mariners signed free-agent outfielder Eric Young Jr. to a minor league deal on Tuesday. Young hit .323 (10-for-31) with a homer, three RBI and two steals in 13 spring games for the Orioles before they released him. Young gives the M's extra depth with Mallex Smith trying to make it back from a spring injury, but he's unlikely to stick around for the long haul or be an option for fantasy owners.
