The Diamondbacks signed Huff to a minor-league contract Jan. 7.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old lefty was assigned to Triple-A Reno, so he doesn't appear on track to receive an invitation to big-league spring training. Huff made 120 appearances (57 starts) in the majors between 2009 and 2016, compiling a 5.17 ERA across 393.1 career innings between the Indians, Yankees, Giants, Dodgers and Angels. He's spent the past three and half seasons overseas in South Korea and Japan.

Huff has cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake City.
EDGE Analysis
Huff made two starts at the major league level with the Angels and posted an awful 11.81 ERA and 2.81 WHIP over 5.1 total innings pitched before being designated for assignment. He'll stay at the Triple-A level, and could be selected later for organizational depth purposes if needed.

Huff was designated for assignment on Monday, Pedro Moura of the LA Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being called up on June 6, Huff started two games for the Angels, pitching a total of 5.1 innings and allowing 10 runs (seven earned) off 13 hits and two walks. He'll almost surely end up in the minors, where he's struggled in 2016. Huff's ERA and WHIP at the Triple-A level are sitting at 4.58 and 1.44, respectively. Batters are hitting Huff with ease, as his opponent batting average is .308.

Huff (0-2) allowed five runs, two of which were earned, on five hits and one walk while striking out two over 1.2 innings to take the loss Sunday against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Huff gave up two home runs in the first five batters he faced before eventually getting chased from the contest before completing the second inning. He's had tWo brutal starts with the Angels, as he's allowed seven earned runs over 5.1 innings of work to give him an 11.81 ERA. His next start has yet to be determined.

Huff (0-1) was roughed up by the Yankees in his first start of the season. He lasted just 3.2 innings, allowing five runs on eight hits while walking one and striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
Huff was recalled by the Angels to make the start Tuesday against his former team (he appeared in 41 games with the Yankees from 2013-14). It was his first major league outing since June 3, 2015. Following the game, the 31-year-old lefty admitted he had a case of the jitters and struggled to get settled in. The Angels rotation has been depleted by injuries, but Nick Tropeano (shoulder) isn't expected to be out long, meaning the team won't need the services of Huff -- or any other spot starter -- for an extended period.

Huff cleared waivers and will report to Triple-A Oklahoma City, Dyland Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports. Huff was called up on Monday to pitch a few innings for the Dodgers. He will remain an option for added depth for the Dodgers as the season continues.

Huff was designated for assignment after Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Rockies. Huff did what he was added Monday to do; eat a couple low-leverage innings for the Dodgers. He will again be subjected to waivers after being designated for assignment by the team for the second time this season, but Huff will likely go unclaimed like he did last time and head outright to Oklahoma City to continue serving as depth.
