Asche accepted a position Wednesday on the Phillies' player development staff, signaling the end of his playing career, Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Asche will transition into his post-playing career with the Phillies' Low-A affiliate in Clearwater, where he'll serve as a hitting coach. The 30-year-old spent parts of five seasons in the big leagues with the Phillies and White Sox, accruing a .234/.293/.376 slash line and 32 home runs over 1,349 career plate appearances.

Asche signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Asche has not appeared in the majors since 2017, when he played in 19 games with the White Sox. The 29-year-old struggled in limited action at the Double-A level last season, recording a .655 OPS with one home run and 28 strikeouts over 23 games. Given Asche's past experience in the big leagues, it wouldn't be surprising if he's a non-roster invitee during spring training.

Asche signed a minor-league contract with the Red Sox on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Boston's infield depth at Triple-A has been depleted by injuries, so Asche will provide some short-term help. Chad De La Guerra was placed on the injured list as a corresponding move.

Asche signed a contract with the Sugar Land Skeeters of the independent Atlantic League on Tuesday, Mike Ashmore of the Trentonian reports.
EDGE Analysis
Asche joined the Dodgers on a minor-league deal in February but was apparently unable to make a lasting impression. The 28-year-old last played in the majors with the White Sox in 2017 and has a career .234/.293/.376 slash line.

Asche signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear if the deal includes an invitation to spring training, but Asche figures to open (and spend most of) the season in the minors either way. The 28-year-old split time between Triple-A Las Vegas (Mets) and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in 2018, hitting a combined .220/.304/.399 with 11 homers in 105 games. Across parts of five major-league seasons (390 games), Asche owns a career .234/.293/.376 slash line.

Asche agreed to a minor-league contract with the Mets on Thursday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Asche will report to Triple-A Las Vegas and provide some extra depth to the Mets' organization as a utility man who can play all corners of the diamond. He appeared in 19 games for the White Sox in 2017, hitting a pedestrian .105/.177/.175 with four RBI and 21 strikeouts in 62 plate appearances. The 27-year-old is unlikely to make an impact at the major-league level.

Asche was shipped to the Yankees on Wednesday in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
EDGE Analysis
Asche is expected to provide a little extra depth for the Yankees in Triple-A, though it's unlikely that he will make much of an impact at the fantasy level even if he makes it up to the majors. The 27-year-old only appeared in 19 big-league games for the White Sox last season, hitting a measly .105/.177/.175 with 21 strikeouts in 57 at-bats.

Asche agreed to a minor-league deal with the Royals on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
After six years in the Phillies' organization, Asche linked up with the White Sox prior to the 2017 campaign. He failed to impress in his 19 games with the big-league club -- going 6-for-57 at the plate -- but put up arguably the best numbers of his career with Triple-A Charlotte. In 347 plate appearances, the veteran slashed .292/.392/.495 with 14 long balls. Despite his minor-league success, he became a free agent at season's end and will now look to put together a strong spring training performance with hopes of working his way onto the rebuilding Royals' Opening Day roster.

Asche was outrighted to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Asche was ineffective during his time as the White Sox's primary designated hitter, so they opted to cast him off the 40-man roster to leave a spot open in case they need a spot for an upcoming callup. He already accepted the assignment, so he'll continue playing in the organization as a depth piece moving forward.

Asche was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The White Sox plan to announce a corresponding move before Monday's game against the Angels. Asche hasn't managed to produce at the plate this season, as he's hitting a bleak .105/.177/.175 and sporting a 33.9 percent K-rate.
