Tillman was put on paternity leave Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman was originally scheduled to pitch against the Brewers on Wednesday, but will miss the start due to the birth of his first child. Jayson Aquino is on his way up from Triple-A Norfolk to start in his place, and Tillman is not in line to make another start until after the All-Star break.

Tillman (personal) won't join the Orioles in time for his scheduled start Wednesday against the Brewers, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Orioles aren't expected to announce the transaction until Wednesday, but Tillman, who remains in Baltimore awaiting the birth of his first child, is expected to be placed on the paternity list while Jayson Aquino is called up from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move to make a spot start. Tillman isn't scheduled for another start prior to the All-Star break, and though he could meet up with the team in Minnesota for its four-game series over the weekend, he likely hasn't performed well enough this season to jump another starter in the rotation. Instead, look for Tillman to be available in long relief if he joins the team for the series with the Twins.

Tillman will remain in Baltimore when the Orioles open their road trip Monday in Milwaukee as he awaits the birth of his first child. He's uncertain to rejoin the team in time for his scheduled start Wednesday against the Brewers, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
With a 7.90 ERA and 2.14 WHIP over 11 starts this season, Tillman wouldn't have made for a strong lineup option in weekly leagues even if he weren't at risk of missing a turn in the rotation, so the fact that his availability for this week is up in the air should make fantasy owners hesitant to keep him active. The Orioles would likely have to delve into the Triple-A Norfolk ranks for a spot starter if Tillman is unable to go Wednesday.

Tillman (1-5) allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five across five innings, but received no-decision Friday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman gave up a two-run homer to Wilson Ramos in the second inning, but otherwise held the Rays in check, and the Orioles had to score a run after his departure to take him off the hook for a potential loss. This was the first time in six outings that he's allowed fewer than five runners to cross the plate, and his 7.90 ERA makes him a difficult player to use in fantasy lineups. He'll make his next start Wednesday against the Brewers.

Tillman allowed five runs -- four earned -- on eight hits and two walks while striking out five batters through 4.1 innings during Sunday' win over Tampa Bay. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman has allowed at least three runs in each of his past nine starts and owns a disastrous 8.39 ERA and 2.18 WHIP for the campaign. His 6.3 K/9 isn't tilting the fantasy scales, either. The veteran can't be started confidently in any setting at this stage of the game. A repeat matchup against the Rays is on deck for Tillman.

Tillman surrendered five runs on eight hits and three walks over four innings but didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 6-5 win over Cleveland. He failed to strike out a batter.
EDGE Analysis
After missing the first month of the season due to a shoulder issue and then tossing five scoreless innings in his 2017 debut, Tillman's been nothing short of awful since. His ERA now stands at 8.39, and only a lack of alternatives within the organization has kept him in the Baltimore rotation this long. The right-hander's next start is scheduled for Sunday on the road against the Rays.

Tillman (1-6) gave up five runs on 11 hits and one walk while striking out six over 5.1 innings in Thursday's loss to the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman's ERA just continues to creep up -- it sits at 8.07 after Thursday's outing. He's given up 14 earned runs over his last two starts spanning 6.2 innings, but the silver lining here is the 6:1 K:BB he managed Thursday. The right-hander came into the game with just two more strikeouts than walks (20:18 K:BB) since returning from a shoulder injury. Still, Tillman should be far away from standard mixed-league starting lineups.

Tillman (1-4) was destroyed at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, allowing nine runs on seven hits (three home runs) and three walks while recording just four outs in the loss.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander failed to get through three frames in two of his last three starts. Saturday's disaster blew Tillman's ERA up from an unsightly 5.59 to a white-flag-waving 8.01. Owners who were hoping last year's 16-game winner would eventually round into form should jump ship before Tillman sinks even further. Outside of AL-only leagues, he's not worth a roster spot until he can figure it out. Tillman will look to do just that, though, in a more favorable matchup Thursday on the road against the White Sox.

Tillman averaged 91.4 mph on his fastball in Sunday's start, and was clocked at a season-high 94 mph during the outing, Steve Melewski of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman's velocity has been trending up in each of his six starts. According to FanGraphs, the 29-year-old's average fastball and changeup have differentiated by nearly nine mph over his MLB career. The gap between the two pitches is just 6.9 mph this season. Changing speeds is critical for a pitcher to have success at the highest level. Fantasy owners can make a fairly simple projection for Tillman's post-All Star performance based on the development of his heater in the coming weeks.

Tillman (1-3) pitched six innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on six hits and four walks while striking out three in Sunday's loss to Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman's second quality start of the season went wildly wrong in the top of the sixth inning. After working himself into a bases-loaded jam, a throwing error by catcher Francisco Pena -- who was making his first start since being called up Wednesday -- allowed Boston to score a pair of runs with two outs. Tillman was otherwise solid, dealing 16 called strikes while inducing eight swings and misses against a lethal lineup. The righty will make his next start in Yankee Stadium on Saturday.
