Tillman could be moved into a bullpen role in light of his recent struggles as a starter, Peter Schmuck of The Baltimore Sun reports."I think we're leaning toward one way more than another, but we're not quite there yet," said manager Buck Showalter during his media availability Friday.
EDGE Analysis
It's important to note that a formal decision has not been made at this time, but all signs are starting to point towards a move to the bullpen for Tillman. According to Showalter, Tillman has repeatedly said that his pitching shoulder is not the issue, so a stint on the DL is not on the table. The Orioles' move to acquire Jeremy Hellickson gave the team six viable starting options, so it'd make sense to bump one of those arms to the 'pen and Tillman would be the logical choice. Tillman has been tagged for 13 earned runs over his last two starts (6.1 IP). Look for a final decision on Tillman's role to be made by the middle of next week when his next scheduled turn in the rotation comes up.

Tillman (1-7) surrendered seven runs -- five earned -- on six hits and two walks while striking out a single batter through just two innings during Thursday's loss to Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Things continue to go south for Tillman, and he's now allowed 15 runs through his past 6.1 innings to balloon his ERA and WHIP to 8.10 and 2.04, respectively. At this stage of the game, Tillman's spot in the Baltimore rotation is fair from a sure thing, and his fantasy value is next to non-existent. He lines up to face the Angels on the road next, but it wouldn't be shocking if his start is skipped.

Tillman (1-6) got tagged for eight runs on nine hits and two walks over 4.1 innings in Friday's 8-2 loss to the Rangers. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
While the right-hander has seen an uptick in his strikeouts lately, posting an 8.6 K/9 over his last five starts, his performance otherwise remains an unmitigated disaster. Tillman's 6.48 ERA and 1.68 WHIP over that five-game stretch are actually an improvement on his season-long numbers, and he should be nowhere near an active fantasy roster for his next trip to the mound Wednesday at home against the Royals.

Tillman (1-5) allowed three runs on six hits while striking out five over 5.1 innings, but received no decision Saturday against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman held the Astros to a single run through five innings, but ran into trouble in the sixth frame to hasten his exit from the contest. With a 7.01 ERA, he's a very difficult player to trust in fantasy lineups. He'll make his next start Friday against the Rangers.

Tillman tossed six innings of one-run ball in a no-decision Sunday against the Rangers, allowing two hits and four walks with three strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman got in a spot of trouble early on, allowing an RBI double to Jonathan Lurcoy in the second inning, but he settled down thereafter and coasted through the next four frames. The four walks tied a season high -- a result of just six first-pitch strikes to 23 batters -- but eight groundball outs helped keep the Texas offense from taking full advantage. Tillman's quality start will come as a positive sign for his fantasy prospects as well as the Orioles since he had delivered a series of lackluster results prior to the All-Star break, but he will still carry a hefty 7.20 ERA into a difficult matchup with the Astros on Saturday.

Tillman will make his first start of the second half Monday at home against Texas, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The righty hasn't pitched since June 30 as he was placed on the paternity list before the break. After a delayed start to the campaign, Tillman owns an ugly 7.90 ERA and 2.14 WHIP (1-5 record) through 11 games. He logged just one quality start prior to the Midsummer Classic, but hopes to return to last season's form (16 wins in 30 starts) when he toes the rubber to kick off the second half Monday.

Tillman was reinstated from the paternity list Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Wade Miley will be taking Tillman's starting spot for Saturday's tilt with Minnesota, as Buck Showalter felt the right-hander just wasn't ready after attending the birth of his first child. His next start will come after the All-Star break, likely against the Cubs, though the team may decide to use to him out of the bullpen sometime this weekend. Tillman will be looking to shake off a rough first half of the season, in which he posted a 7.90 ERA and .362 BAA over 11 starts after missing over a month due to shoulder troubles.

Tillman will not be Saturday's starter against the Twins, instead, Wade Miley will toe the rubber for the second contest of a three-game set, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman will still return from the paternity list Saturday, and could be available out of the bullpen for relief in case Miley has another bad outing. Manager Buck Showalter felt as though Tillman wasn't prepared heading into this weekend, and will wait to give the right-hander another start until after the All-Star break.

Tillman is expected to return from the paternity list Saturday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is good news for the Orioles, although there is some speculation that he could return as a long reliever instead of as a starter at first. Saturday's starter is still up in the air, although reports at this time seem to be pointing toward Wade Miley getting the nod over Tillman. No official word has come out yet on this matter, so keep an eye out for further developments as Saturday's start time approaches.

Tillman is an option to pitch against the Twins this weekend, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman's wife gave birth to their baby Tuesday night, so the 29-year-old is hoping to get a side session in with Double-A Bowie on Thursday in order to be available to pitch over the weekend if needed. He's compiled an unimpressive 1-5 record with a 7.90 ERA and 2.14 WHIP in 11 starts this season, so the Orioles could ultimately choose to use him as a long relief option rather than reinsert him into the rotation, though that's still undecided at this point.
