Anderson was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson spent the majority of the season in the Triple-A in 2015, struggling at the plate to the tune of a .202/.273/.288 slash line, but was a September call-up. The 28-year-old will likely begin the 2016 season in the minors again, but could get called up if the team is in need of catching depth.

Anderson is making his first MLB start Monday, John Hickey of the Oakland Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll catch and bat ninth against the Angels after Stephen Vogt caught all three games over the weekend, but Vogt will retake his regular backstop duties Tuesday.

Anderson had his contract selected by the Athletics on Sunday from Triple-A Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson has been hitting a .561 OPS as a 28-year-old from Triple-A, so don't expect much from the couple of weeks he's with the team. Day-to-day injuries to Stephen Vogt and Josh Phegley prompted his call-up, but he's the fourth catcher in the long view of things.

The A's outrighted Anderson to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports. A spot on the 40-man roster had to be freed up with pitcher Taylor Thompson coming aboard via a waiver claim from the White Sox, and Anderson was the casualty. It likely wasn't a very difficult call for GM Billy Beane, as Anderson has continually hit the wall at Triple-A and seems destined to play out the rest of his career as organizational depth.

White Sox reassigned C Bryan Anderson, INF Josh Bell, INF Steve Tolleson, RHP Jeff Gray and RHP Ramon Troncoso to minor league camp. None of the moves were unexpected. Anderson will serve as an emergency catching depth this year for the Pale Hose.
