Guyer left Wednesday's game against the Indians with a neck strain, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Guyer appeared to injure himself after making a diving catch in the second inning, and although he was able to temporarily stay in the game, the Indians decided to pull him in the fourth inning for precautionary reasons. The severity of the injury isn't clear at this point, but more should be known following the conclusion of the contest. Consider him day-to-day for now; with an off day Thursday, he may not be forced to miss any time.

Guyer will bat second and start in left field in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
He'll check into the lineup for Austin Jackson, who is getting a breather for the front end of the twin bill. A lefty killer throughout his career, Guyer could make for an appealing cost-effective DFS option for the Wednesday slate with southpaw Jaime Garcia toeing the rubber for the Yankees in Game 1.

Guyer went 2-for-3 and scored twice in Monday's 5-4 win over the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
An injury-plagued season has prevented the outfielder from finding any sort of rhythm this year. Guyer's .226/.324/.339 slash line through 55 games is noticeably down from his career marks of .258/.346/.395. He's in line to continue seeing routine chances as a platoon mate while Michael Brantley (ankle) is sidelined, but Guyer's performance (and lack of everyday at-bats) greatly hinders the veteran's fantasy value.

Guyer is out of the lineup Sunday against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
After submitting a .422 on-base percentage and .882 OPS over his first 16 games out of the All-Star break, Guyer turned in a relative dud Saturday, going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. One bad day won't cost Guyer at-bats, but he'll still probably need to stay hot in order to fend off Austin Jackson and Abraham Almonte for starts in right field until Lonnie Chisenhall (calf) returns from the 10-day disabled list. Almonte gets the nod in right field for the series finale.

Guyer went 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs and a stolen base in Friday's victory over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The outfielder is making the most of increased playing time, batting .297 (11-for-37) with nine RBI, six runs and a pair of steals since the All-Star break. Although still not eye-popping, Guyer's .233 average is at its highest point since April 8, and his OBP (.331) is up 77 points since the start of July.

Guyer will start in right field and bat seventh against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Terry Francona had inserted Guyer into the lineup against opposing lefty starters in three of the Indians' last five games, and the outfielder will now receive an opportunity to take on a righty in reigning American League Cy Young winner Rick Porcello. Guyer came through with two hits -- including a home run -- Tuesday, but he'll be hard pressed to remain productive in the series finale, given his underwhelming .238/.312/.336 career mark against right-handers.

Guyer will bat leadoff and man right field Sunday against the Athletics, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With lefty Sean Manaea on the mound for the Athletics to open up a stretch of three consecutive games in which the Indians are scheduled to face southpaws, Guyer, who has mashed lefties throughout his career, could be a fixture in the lineup in the short term. Guyer's .194/.270/.284 line on the season has made him a disappointment, which figures to keep his ownership low in DFS contests.

Guyer was activated from the 10-day disabled list Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Guyer hasn't played since May 12 due to a left wrist injury, though he appears ready to go following six rehab games with Triple-A Columbus. The 31-year-old could be hard pressed for playing time in a suddenly-crowded Indians' outfield, since Bradley Zimmer and Lonnie Chisenhall have emerged as productive everyday options and Michael Brantley is also returning from the DL. If he can't improve upon his dismal .182 average from the plate, Guyer may very well find himself off a power-stacked Cleveland roster.

Guyer (wrist) went 1-for-2 in his third rehab outing for Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday afternoon.
EDGE Analysis
He's 3-for-6 with a home run and two walks since his assignment began. Although Guyer is inching closer to full health, the 31-year-old's lackluster effort before landing on the DL (.182/.237/.291) has his MLB roster spot in question.

Guyer (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Columbus on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder was initially tabbed to miss 4-to-6 weeks due to this wrist injury, and beginning a rehab assignment Friday means he still can return within that timeframe. No word has been revealed as to how long Guyer will remain with the Clippers, although the Indians may opt to keep him on the assignment a bit longer than usual since there currently is not a roster spot open for him in Cleveland. Austin Jackson and Daniel Robertson are currently filling the outfield platoon roles, so Guyer certainly isn't guaranteed a spot in the big leagues once he's ready to return since both Jackson and Robertson have been serviceable bench bats for the Tribe.
