Severino signed a minor league contract with the Angels on Tuesday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports. Aside from a handful of appearances with the Nationals in 2011, Severino has spent his nine professional seasons in the minor leagues, most recently with the Braves' Triple-A Gwinnett affiliate in 2014. He posted a 3.22 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 54:20 K:BB in 40 appearances with Gwinnett, but may be hard-pressed to crack the Angels' active roster in 2015.
