this might sound stupid but how do you put players on the ir?
The same way you bench/start players. Go to the dropdown menu on the right and if they are IR eligible, it will say IR.

Bernard Scott of the Bengals was placed on IR yesterday but I still can't put him on IR on my team. Why is that ?
Your league does not have an IR enabled:

Please contact your commish if you'd like them to and they can add it at Edit Roster Requirements.
