The winger has hit a rough patch with just three points over his last seven contests, though he remains firmly in a top-six role for the Kraken. The Kraken jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period, but the Mammoth got one goal back in that frame, then scored twice in the second and thrice in the third to run away with the game. This was a tough loss for Daccord and the Kraken, as it makes their path to the playoffs all that much harder. He's allowed 16 goals while going 0-3-1 over his last four outings, and he's down to 19-19-6 with a 3.00 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 44 appearances this season. Philipp Grubauer is likely to get the nod Saturday versus the Blackhawks after Daccord's poor showing Thursday.

This is the first time he's gotten to the 20-point mark since 2022-23 with the Oilers.

Carcone had been limited to one assist over his last six games since he scored March 16 in Dallas. The 29-year-old forward has provided some depth scoring from a third-line role this season. He earned a two-year contract extension March 20, so he will be part of the Mammoth's short-term future as a depth forward.

Peterka's tally put the Mammoth ahead 4-2 in the third period, the first of three goals for the visitors in that frame. This ended an eight-game goal drought for the winger, who had three assists in that span. Peterka has struggled with consistency at times this season, and he's also had fairly modest production with no multi-point efforts since Jan. 31 versus the Stars. He's now at 23 goals, 44 points, 143 shots on net and a plus-8 rating over 75 appearances.

Both points came on the power play. Schmaltz has earned four goals and four assists over his last eight outings, and his last four points have come with a man advantage. The 30-year-old forward continues to impress in a career year, amassing 28 goals, 67 points (17 on the power play), 181 shots on net, 46 blocked shots and a plus-17 rating over 75 appearances. Schmaltz is a fixture on the Mammoth's top line and first power-play unit, and he'll look to achieve his first 30-goal regular season with a strong run over the last two weeks of the campaign.

Guenther has developed a reputation as a Kraken slayer in his young career, earning three goals and nine points over eight career games against Seattle. He's done well for himself lately with 10 goals, six helpers, 42 shots on net and a minus-1 rating over 16 contests since the beginning of March. For the season, the 22-year-old winger is up to 37 goals, 28 helpers, 20 power-play points, 227 shots on net, 59 hits and a plus-6 rating over 73 appearances. He has a career-high 65 points and could push for 70 by the end of the campaign.

Cooley scored twice on three shots, dished an assist and added two PIM in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Kraken.

Cooley's tallies erased the 2-0 goal lead the Kraken created in the first period. He scored one of his goals on the power play. The 21-year-old has five goals and an assist over his last three games as he continues to show a skill for scoring in bunches. The rising star has 22 goals, 36 points, 91 shots on net, 49 hits and a plus-5 rating across 47 appearances this season.

Mateychuk scored a goal in Thursday's 5-1 loss to Carolina.

The defender stuffed in a rebound at the top of the crease at the midpoint of the second period. The 21-year-old Mateychuk has two goals in his last nine games, but bunched into the most recent four. He's starting to show how he can develop into a top-pairing defender. Mateychuk has 13 goals, 17 assists, a plus-14 rating, 79 shots, 86 blocks and 25 assists while averaging 19:02 each game.

Vejmelka allowed two goals on 27 shots in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Kraken.

EDGE Analysis

Vejmelka allowed the first two goals of the game, but he was able to settle in well after that. The Mammoth helped him bounce back, scoring six unanswered tallies to secure the win. Vejmelka has won four of his last six outings, giving up just 11 goals on 138 shots in that span. For the season, he improved to 34-19-3 with a with a 2.68 GAA and an .898 save percentage over 58 appearances. The Mammoth are leading the Western Conference's wild-card race, but Vejmelka should still see plenty of playing time until their playoff spot is secured. He would have a favorable matchup if he starts Saturday in Vancouver to close out this three-game road trip.
