The Penguins traded Sill and two future draft picks to the Maple Leafs on Wednesday in exchange for forward Daniel Winnik. Sill amounts as just a throw-in to the deal for the Leafs, who were likely just trying to fill a roster spot after giving up Winnik. Even so, Sill should still receive a look on the Leafs' fourth line, where he should continue to provide plenty of PIM and hits, but little else.

Sill scored his first goal in the NHL on Wednesday against Chicago. He tallied his first NHL assist Jan. 14, making his trophy case a little bit more crowded. That said, Sill has limited offensive talent -- as evidenced by his two-point output in 52 career games -- and is more of a grinder with 48 PIM and 82 hits in 32 games this season.

Sill recorded an assist in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Wild, marking the first point of his NHL career. It took a whopping 48 games for Sill to accomplish the feat. The fourth-liner is one of the Pens' more willing hitters and picks up PIM at a decent rate, but his utter lack of scoring makes it difficult to roster him even in specialty formats.

Sill (upper body) will be activated from IR and play in Wednesday's game against the Bruins. After an absence of nearly a month, Sill will draw back in on the Pens' fourth line while taking on an increased role on the team's penalty kill. These duties won't lend themselves to much fantasy utility, however, as Sill is still without a point in 25 games this season.

Sill (upper body) joined the team for its morning skate Friday, Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. After skating with injured defensemen Paul Martin and Olli Maatta earlier in the morning, Sill remained on the ice for the full-team session, suggesting he's closing in on a return. While it doesn't sound like he'll be an option for Friday's game against the Lightning, he may be less than a week away from returning.

Sill (upper body) did not practice Thursday. Sill has not played in more than two weeks and is without a timetable to return. At this point, continue to consider him day-to-day, though he'll likely need at least one practice before returning to game action.

Sill (upper body) was on the ice prior to the Penguins' morning skate Saturday, Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Since Sill didn't participate with the rest of the team during Saturday's session, he'll remain unavailable for the evening's match with the Capitals. Even so, the Penguins have to be encouraged by seeing Sill back on the ice in some capacity, especially while the team tends to a number of injuries and illnesses across the roster. He could be given the green light to practice within the next few days.

The Penguins places Sill (upper body) on IR on Sunday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. The move comes as no surprise, considering Sill is expected to miss two weeks anyway. It shouldn't affect too many fantasy teams, though, since the depth forward was pointless in 25 games before getting hurt.

Sill left Friday's game with an upper-body injury and could miss the next "couple weeks," according to coach Mike Johnston. Speaking after the game, Johnston sounded pessimistic about Sill's immediate future. The feisty forward, who's recorded 41 PIM, 57 hits and zero points in 25 games, skated just one 18-second shift before departing Friday's tilt.

Sill spent 20 minutes in the penalty box in Saturday's victory over the Senators. Sill had amassed 17 PIM in his previous 22 games this season, so Saturday's effort more than doubled his output in the category. The winger is strictly tasked with providing defensive toughness on the fourth line and has yet to record a point this season.
