Simmonds delivered a power-play goal in Thursday's 5-3 home loss to the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
The Flyers orchestrated a beautiful tic-tac-toe play with Simmonds depositing the puck into the net right from the doorstep. This was his 12th goal of the season, and now he has twice as many tallies as helpers through 40 games.

Simmonds scored his 11th goal of the season in Sunday's 3-2 shootout win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old Simmonds came into Sunday's contest having recorded just a single point in his last seven games, but he's picked it up of late with points in back-to-back games. With just 16 points in 35 games, Simmonds is on pace for his worst season since 2010-11.

Simmons is dealing with an upper-body issue, but is expected to be able to play Thursday against the Blue Jackets, Dave Isaac of the South Jersey Courier-Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Simmonds seems likely to play against the Jackets, but he may not be at full strength. That's a concern, especially since the 30-year-old has had some issues this season. He's scored nine goals, but with a career-high 15.5 shooting percentage, and only has four assists in 25 games.

Simmonds scored a goal in the 5-2 loss to the Sabres on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
That's his second straight game with a goal, which snapped a six-game stretch where he didn't find the back of the net. Simmonds is right where he should be with nine goals and 12 points at the quarter mark of the season. Simmonds could use more production in the assist category, but if he stays healthy, he's on pace for another 35-goal campaign.

Simmonds has points in each of the last three games. That gives him seven goals and 10 points in 15 contests this season.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran didn't have a great end to October, as he went pointless in the last four games of the month. But to begin November, he has a goal and three points in three games. His plus/minus has improved too -- he's posted a plus-3 rating this month. Even more importantly, though, Simmonds is a 1.0 PIM per game guy again this season. In 2017-18, he didn't hit that mark, but this season, he has 20 PIM in 15 games. That combined with his ability to score 30 goals makes him a unique fantasy asset.

Simmonds doesn't have a point and owns a minus-4 rating in the last three games.
EDGE Analysis
Owners can't fault Simmonds too much, as he leads the Flyers in goals but the last handful of contests have been rough. In general, Philadelphia isn't playing well right now, and it's hurting everyone's fantasy production. For Simmonds, that's going to negatively effect his plus/minus the most, but the good news for Simmonds is he has proven to still be able to score this season even when his teammates aren't.

Simmonds will ascend to the top line for Saturday's home game against the Devils, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Simmonds will trade places with Jakub Voracek, who gets relegated to the third line for this matinee. Tough as nails from the right wing, Simmonds has collected five goals and an assist -- with his total including three power-play points -- over the first seven games of the 2018-19 campaign.

Simmonds (pelvis) is expected to make his preseason debut Saturday against the Bruins, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Saturday will mark Simmonds' first game action in over five months, so he'll likely have some considerable rust to work through. The 30-year-old power forward is expected to skate on the third line with James van Riemsdyk and Mikhail Vorobyev against Boston, and that's likely where he'll start once the regular season gets underway Thursday against Vegas.

General manager Ron Hextall would be surprised if Simmonds (pelvis) didn't play in Saturday's preseason finale against the Bruins, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Simmonds has yet to crack the lineup for a preseason contest as he continues to recover from offseason surgery, but it sounds like he should get a chance to see game action prior to the Flyers' Oct. 4 season opener against Vegas. The 30-year-old power forward only notched 24 goals and 46 points last campaign, his lowest total since the 2012-13 season, so he'll be looking to bounce back in a big way before hitting the market as an unrestricted free agent next offseason.

Simmonds (pelvis) is determined to be 100-percent healthy for training camp, NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Philadelphia's top-six power winger dealt with a broken ankle, pulled groin, torn ligament in his thumb, and he even tore his pelvis while training for the 2017-18 campaign. Remarkably, Simmonds only missed seven games last year, potting 24 goals to complement 22 helpers and 129 hits through 18:05 of average ice time. He was clearly spent by the time the playoffs rolled around and only saw 14:36 through six games against the Penguins, but fantasy owners shouldn't discount Simmonds too much, as he's an excellent source of points -- both at even strength and on special teams.
