Per coach Jon Cooper, Johnson (undisclosed) will draw into the lineup for Thursday's regular-season opener against Florida, Bryan Burns of the Lightning's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson was deemed day-to-day with an undisclosed injury earlier this week, but whatever he was dealing with clearly wasn't overly serious. The 30-year-old American is expected to center the Lightning's first line and top power-play unit until Brayden Point (hip) is cleared to return.

Johnson (undisclosed) is day-to-day heading into Opening Night versus the Panthers on Thursday, Bryan Burns of the Lightning's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson's potential absence would stretch the Lightning's forward compliment that will already be missing Cedric Paquette (arm) and Brayden Point (not injury related). If healthy, Johnson would likely take on a top-six role and could see minutes on the power play as well, giving him decent mid-range fantasy value.

Johnson left Saturday's preseason matchup against the Panthers after the first period with an undisclosed injury, Erik Erlendsson of Lightning Insider reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear when Johnson got nicked up. Johnson's fantasy owners will have to hope his removal from the game was just precautionary, as Thursday's season opener is fast approaching.

Johnson fired just four shots and finished with one assist in four games in Tampa's four-game, opening-round series loss to Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson came off a 29-goal season and seemed poised for success, but the 5-foot-8 pivot was rubbed out of the play and thwarted at every turn by the aggressive Jackets. Johnson's deal ties him up for $5 million a year until 2023-24 and he has a full no-trade until after 2020-21. He will be back with a vengeance at training camp and could come very cheap because of the team's postseason woes. Johnson's value comes in goal-heavy leagues, so he could be a cheap late-round target.

Johnson finished the season with 29 goals and 47 points in 80 games.
EDGE Analysis
Last season, Johnson struggled in the postseason. But his previous two years, he delivered 40 points in 43 games. Johnson could deliver sneaky fantasy value in postseason formats.

Johnson scored a goal Saturday in a 6-3 loss to Washington.
EDGE Analysis
It was his 28th goal and that's just one from his career best. Now, Johnson has just 46 points this season -- he had 72 the year he scored 29 goals. His game has changed and so has his role. But Johnson still has fantasy value because of those snipes. Keeper owners might consider leveraging his goal scoring into an offseason deal -- he's 28 and not likely to peak offensively at this point.

Johnson scored two goals in Monday's 6-2 win over the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
He got the Bolts on the board midway through the first period, then potted what proved to be the game-winner early in the second. Johnson's production has been spotty lately -- he had only three points (a goal and two assists) in his prior 10 contests -- but his 24 tallies and 42 points through 68 games is still providing him with solid overall fantasy value.

Johnson opened the scoring for his 300th career point in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Rangers
EDGE Analysis
Johnson hunkered down for a chip shot after receiving a nice pass from NHL points leader Nikita Kucherov. While the milestone marker was beautifully orchestrated, Johnson isn't producing heavily enough to fall into the elite class of forwards. Stationed on the second line, he's only had eight multi-point outings compared to 54 games with one point or less. Johnson should be universally owned across the fantasy spectrum, but one could have expected more from a guy who contributes to the league's top offense.

Johnson scored a goal in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
He now has a goal in each of his last two games after he had scuffled through a quiet 11-game stretch in which he picked up just one point. Despite the slow stretch, Johnson is on a goal pace that might see him flirt with his first 30-goal season. That doesn't mean what it did a couple seasons ago, but it's still impressive enough. And solid for standard fantasy purposes.

Johnson has a single point in 11 games.
EDGE Analysis
It was a goal and his only one in 17 games, although he does have four helpers in that span. Johnson suffered what was believed to be a lower-body injury in a game right before the All-Star break. He missed just one game, but one has to wonder if that injury isn't affecting his game. Johnson has no fantasy value right now, despite having 30 points in his first 38 games.
