Terry provided the game-winning goal in the shootout Monday, as the Ducks edged out the Red Wings at home, 3-2.

Terry, whom the Ducks took in the fifth round of the 2015 draft, did what five others couldn't: putting the puck past the netminder in the skills competition. However, fantasy owners streaming the rookie would like to see him produce earlier in games, as he's been held without a point and carries a minus-1 rating over the first three contests.

Terry skated in two games during 2017-18, and although he didn't secure a point, he did throw three shots on goal and blocked two shots.

EDGE Analysis

Although Terry had the 10th best points-per-game rate for collegiate hockey in 2017-18, with Anaheim gearing up for the playoffs he wasn't given much playing time or a key role, as its difficult to adjust from the pace of college to professional hockey. The Denver University standout scored 93 points (36 goals, 57 assists) in 74 games combined in his sophomore and junior years and also collected five assists during the 2018 Olympics, and with his speed and offensive ability, he should have a strong chance of making Anaheim's roster for 2018-19. If Terry is able to, he'll likely have the luxury of playing on the right side of Ryan Getzlaf, Ryan Kesler, or Adam Henrique, and having a veteran center beside him would be a tremendous benefit in his first full professional season.

Terry made his NHL debut on Tuesday, registering 12:30 worth of ice time and two shots on goal in Anaheim's 4-1 loss to Vancouver.

EDGE Analysis

Terry has the smarts and natural ability to make an impact in a limited role, but he received just 18 seconds worth of power play time on Tuesday and there is little reason to believe that will change anytime soon. Terry obviously remains a strong hold in all keeper/dynasty leagues, but the 20-year-old seems destined to fill a depth role for the Ducks for the remainder of the season. He skated alongside Adam Henrique and Ondrej Kase on Anaheim's third line in his debut.

Terry signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Ducks on Monday.

EDGE Analysis

Terry is a Hobey Baker candidate who turned heads with his play at the University of Denver. The shifty pivot listed at 5-foot-11, 160 pounds, recorded a point per game through 115 contests over three years in the NCHC, and a national championship with the Pioneers from 2016 is also highlighted on his hockey resume. Those of you in dynasty/keeper leagues should consider tracking his progress.

Terry picked up three assists in the University of Denver's 6-1 win over Boston College on Saturday.

EDGE Analysis

Less than a year after helping Team USA win the gold medal at the World Juniors, Terry is up to his same tricks for the best team in college hockey. The 20-year-old now has ten points in six games for the Pioneers and early indications are that Terry stands a pretty decent chance of cracking the United States roster for the upcoming Winter Olympics. It's been quite a 12 months for Anaheim's fifth-round pick in 2015.
