Jarry was reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Monday, Wes Crosby of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jarry was called up while Matt Murray was dealing with a concussion, but now that Jarry is being sent back down, one assumes Murray is ready to return to the lineup. Casey DeSmith remains the primary backup for the Penguins.

Jarry was called up from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton under emergency conditions Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
With Matt Murray (concussion) sidelined, Jarry will serve as the backup to Casey DeSmith on Thursday against the Golden Knights. Depending on how long Murray is out of action, it's possible the British Columbia native could see action for Pittsburgh -- especially if DeSmith struggles.

Jarry (leg) was reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Jarry's leg injury suffered during the preseason may have cost him the chance of securing the backup job behind Matt Murray. With the British Columbia native healthy, he will be sent down to the minors, where he figures to see the bulk of the starts for the Baby Pens.

Jarry (leg) skated on his own ahead of Friday's practice session, Michelle Crechiolo of Pens Inside Scoop reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jarry's chances of competing for the backup job are likely falling by the wayside the longer his absence drags on. Casey DeSmith would appear to have the inside track on the No. 2 spot, although it may not matter who the backup is, considering the Penguins don't have any back-to-backs in October and may opt to exclusively use starter Matt Murray for the time being.

The Penguins designated Jarry (leg) as injured non-roster Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Jarry will stick with the big club while he recovers from the leg injury he sustained during Friday's 7-6 loss to the Blue Jackets, but he'll be assigned to Pittsburgh's minor-league affiliate as soon as he's healthy.

Jarry (leg) was labeled day-to-day by coach Mike Sullivan on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Even if Jarry's injury isn't serious, it could be the determining factor for the club as it decides who should be the No. 2 behind Matt Murray. The British Columbia native will need to be either placed on injured reserve or, if healthy, sent to the minors ahead of Tuesday's roster deadline.

Jarry was spotted with a bag of ice on his right leg after Friday's 7-6 road loss to the Blue Jackets, Seth Rorabaugh of The Athletic reports. He drew the start for the Penguins, surrendering five goals on 20 shots before giving way to Casey DeSmith in the second period.
EDGE Analysis
The plan was for DeSmith to replace Jarry even if he hadn't sustained an injury, but unfortunately, that's how it transpired for the 2013 second-round (44th overall) draft pick. This doesn't sound like a serious issue, but the Penguins are sure to reevaluate the Canadian backstop ahead of Thursday's regular-season opener versus the Capitals.

Jarry will get the starting nod against the Blue Jackets on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
This will be Jarry's last chance to separate himself from Casey DeSmith and earn the backup job behind Matt Murray. Working against the British COlumbia native is his contract, which is a two-way deal and is easier to move him between levels while DeSmith would require waivers. Regardless of who is the No. 2, Murray figures to see the bulk of the starts -- assuming he can stay healthy this season.

Jarry turned aside all 20 shots faced in Pittsburgh's 3-2 loss to Detroit on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Jarry came in midway through the second period of Sunday's contest, relieving starter Casey DeSmith who conceded three goals on 13 shots. Meanwhile, Jarry was perfect in relief duty, turning aside every shot fired his way. A season ago, the native of Surrey, BC appeared in 26 games -- 23 starts -- and posted a 14-6-2 record. As of now, the backup job is Jarry's to lose.

Jarry will play the second half of Sunday's preseason contest against Detroit, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jarry was terrific against Detroit on Wednesday, stopping 41 of 44 shots despite taking a loss in overtime. This time around, the 23-year-old will tend the twine in relief of Casey DeSmith about halfway through the game. The two young goaltenders will continue battling for the role of Matt Murray's backup.
