Zajac scored his fourth power-play goal of the season in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
The Devils power play continues to cash in and Zajac has been the main beneficiary. New Jersey's highest paid center now has five goals and eight points in 11 games this season.

Zajac scored two power-play goals in Thursday's 4-1 win against the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Zajac has really thrived under new coach John Hynes, especially on the power play. Since failing to score in the Devils' first four games, Zajac has four goals and seven points in his past five. Zajac is beginning to find some chemistry with newcomer Kyle Palmieri as New Jersey continues to surprise this season.

Zajac got the secondary assist on Kyle Palmieri's power-play goal in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
Zajac fed Jiri Tlusty, who sent the shot that Sergei Bobrovsky coughed up to Palmieri for the goal. The two-way center has really come on offensively of late, scoring two goals with three assists in his past four games. If Palmieri and Tlusty can get things going, Zajac should have no trouble maintaining a nice, steady scoring pace.

Zajac opened the scoring with a power-play goal in Thursday's 5-4 shootout win against the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Zajac nearly blew a layup off a rebound, but was able to sneak the puck past Andrew Hammond for his second goal of the season. After a slow start, Zajac now has four points in his past two games. He's never going to be the same center that scored 67 points back in 2009-10, but the system change is definitely starting to help Zajac find his scoring touch again.

Zajac broke out of his offensive slump Tuesday with a shorthanded goal and two assists in an overtime win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Zajac set up Adam Larsson's game-winning goal in overtime en route to tallying his first three points of the season. He made a nice move to his backhand to beat Mike Smith for a shorthanded goal to give the Devils a 1-0 lead in the second period and provided the drop pass on Mike Cammalleri's goal to make it 2-1. Zajac had one of his worst offensive seasons in 2014-15, so there's really only one way for him to trend: Up. It was just the second time all season that the Devils scored three goals, so the offense is still unreliable, but if Zajac can keep this up, the scoring should come.

Zajac (undisclosed) will return to the lineup Sunday against the Rangers, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zajac missed the previous game against the Sharks because of the undisclosed issue, but he will rejoin the lineup Sunday against the Rangers. The center hasn't tallied a point through his first three games this season, while posting a minus-three rating. He'll look to change those for the better in Sunday's contest.

Zajac (undisclosed) returned to practice Saturday, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zajac was initally expected to play Friday against the Sharks, but ultimately was unable to suit up for the contest due to injury. However, the fact that he was able to return to practice Saturday bodes well for his chances of returning to the Devils' lineup Sunday against the Rangers. His availability for Sunday's tilt should be confirmed prior to puck drop.

Zajac (undisclosed) is out for Friday's game against the Sharks, Tom Gullitti of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Devils head coach John Hynes told reporters Thursday that he expected Zajac to play Friday, but apparently the veteran center needs more time to shake off his apparent injury. As previously reported, he's not expected to be out for long.

Zajac (undisclosed), who has missed two straight practices, is expected to be available to play Friday against San Jose, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although Zajac has been sidelined for two practices in a row, head coach John Hynes told reporters Thursday that the injury is "nothing serious or long term." The 30-year-old forward should be available for Friday's tilt against the Sharks, but his status will be confirmed prior to puck drop either way.

Zajac appeared in both of the Devil's first two games this season.
EDGE Analysis
Zajac leads New Jersey's centers in average time on ice through the first two games. However, he's not made the most of his opportunities, failing to accumulate a point so far this season. The veteran center will have his next chance Tuesday when the Devils face the Predators at home.
