DeAngelo will miss Friday's game against the Blue Jackets with an upper-body injury, Brett Cyrgalis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach David Quinn indicated that DeAngelo's injury isn't a long-term problem, so there's a decent chance he could return to action as soon as Sunday versus the Bruins. Either Marc Staal (illness) or Joey Keane, who was promoted from AHL Hartford on Friday, will take his place in Friday's lineup.

DeAngelo scored an empty-net goal on four shots and was plus-3 with two PIM and two blocks in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
DeAngelo's career season continued with his 13th goal and 42nd point, both career highs. The 24-year-old is also shooting a personal-high 10.9 percent. DeAngelo, a first-round pick by the Coyotes in 2014, always had offensive upside, but it's hard to believe this is the same player who scored just four goals in his first 93 games as a Ranger. Career-high shooting percentage aside, DeAngelo also has a career-high 29 assists and seems to have established himself as an upper-tier fantasy defenseman.

DeAngelo picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Friday's 4-2 win over the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
The fourth-year blueliner continues to enjoy a breakout campaign. DeAngelo has five goals and 14 points in 13 games since Christmas, and he's already set new career highs in goals (12), points (39) and power-play points (13).

DeAngelo scored three goals on seven shots and added two assists in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Devils. He had a goal and an assist on the power play.
EDGE Analysis
DeAngelo became the second defenseman in Rangers history to record five points in one game, joining Brian Leetch. All of his production came in the first two periods. DeAngelo's first goal gave his team a 2-1 lead, the second broke a 3-3 tie and ended up being the game-winner, while the third came with the extra man and completed his first career hat trick at the 15:02 mark of the middle frame. This offensive outburst pushed DeAngelo's point total to 36 in 43 games, as the 24-year-old New Jersey native has quietly turned into one of the league's best sources of points from the blue line.

DeAngelo posted two assists -- one on the man advantage -- and four hits in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
The Blueshirts went down 2-0 early in the first period, but DeAngelo helped fuel the comeback with a helper on each of the Rangers' next two goals. DeAngelo set a new career high with 31 points through 42 games, and he's marked 10 power-play points for the second straight season.

DeAngelo picked up an assist and two hits in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
DeAngelo's breakout campaign continues -- he's at 29 points (nine on the power play) through 39 games. He needs just one more point to match his output from last season. Additionally, the 24-year-old has 77 shots on goal and 23 PIM. His role on the top power-play unit should be more than enough to sway fantasy owners to keep him in their lineups.

DeAngelo recorded an assist with the man advantage in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
DeAngelo found Mika Zibanejad for the first of the latter's two goals in the game, which tied the score at three in the third period. DeAngelo now has 22 points in 31 games, with seven of his points being of the power-play variety. He plays on the top unit of the Rangers' 10th-ranked power play, which is operating at a 20.9 percent clip so far. It's doing wonders for his production, which makes DeAngelo a hot commodity for fantasy blue lines.

DeAngelo scored the game-winning goal in overtime and added an assist in Monday's 3-2 victory over the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old blueliner continues to blossom for the Blueshirts. DeAngelo already has seven goals and 17 points through 22 games -- heady numbers for a player who had only nine goals and 52 points in 132 career NHL games coming into the season.

DeAngelo scored a power-play goal on four shots and added an assist in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
DeAngelo snuck in from the point and tapped home his fifth goal of the season early in the second period, then set up what proved to be the game-winner just under two minutes later. It was DeAngelo's fourth multi-point game in the last seven contests, and the 24th-year-old appears to be in the midst of a breakout season. He already has five goals and 11 points in 13 games and collecting a career-high 30 points in 61 games last season. Ride him while he's rolling, and it's not unrealistic to think the 2014 first-rounder can sustain this level of production.

DeAngelo posted two assists and two shots on net in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
DeAngelo registered a season-high 20:50 TOI in this outing, and he continues to log heavy power-play minutes. It's working out well for the 24-year-old blueliner, as he leads Rangers defensemen with eight points through nine games. DeAngelo flashed this success at times last year, including an eight-game point streak, and he'll look to keep it up against the Lightning, who drafted him in the first round (19th overall) in 2014, when the two teams meet Tuesday.
