Tomas Fleischmann scored just his sixth goal of the season in Thursday's loss to the Washington Capitals. He ended a 22-game goalless drought and is looking to finish a horrid 2013-14 campaign on a productive note. Fleischmann has 24 points in 57 games this season. He's another possible trade candidate and a change of scenery could do wonders for his fantasy value.

The Olympic break seemed to help Tomas Fleischmann re-focus after a terrible 56 games to date. The 29-year-old forward, who is slated to be an unrestricted free agent this July, has only 23 points this season and was struggling when the NHL suspended play. Fleischmann had not recorded a point in the Panthers' last five games. If he can re-gain his scoring ability, Fleischmann is a prime trade candidate.

Tomas Fleischmann will be back in the Florida lineup Saturday against Columbus. He was a healthy scratch for the first time in his three-year career as a Panther. We expect Fleischmann to play with a little chip on his shoulder Saturday against Columbus.

It was the first time during his three years with the Panthers that he's been relegated to the press box, which shouldn't be surprising because he's led the team in scoring for the previous two seasons. Fleischmann is also the highest-paid forward on the team, but he's struggled to contribute offense this season with only five goals and 23 points in 52 games. Still, he was surprised to be scratched and he's eager to get back into the lineup.

Tomas Fleischmann received a season-low 10:08 of ice time in Sunday's shootout win over Detroit. He was up to 15:18 of playing time in Tuesday's loss to Boston, but he hasn't scored in his last 18 games. "He's just got to get his spirits back," interim coach Peter Horachek said. "It looks like he's down on himself, like he's almost depressed. I think he's frustrated with himself. It started way back, he had a ton of chances, a lot of opportunities and posts. He's got to shake that off and get back to work and compete, skate hard and shoot the puck the way he can." He has five goals and 23 points in 52 games this year, which surprisingly has him just one point away from a share of the team lead.

Panthers coach Peter Horachek says he will likely take struggling forward Tomas Fleischmann off the team's power-play point to try and get something going there. Florida, which has scored two goals or fewer in six of its past eight games, is definitely looking for more out of a lot of its top offensive players. Aside from the line of Aleksander Barkov, Brad Boyes and Sean Bergenheim, Florida isn't getting much production out of anyone. In the past six weeks, Fleischmann, Scottie Upshall, Shawn Matthias, Jonathan Huberdeau and Tomas Kopecky have combined for five goals and 16 assists over an 18-game span. The Panthers have just 14 goals in their past eight games. "Obviously, I'm one of the first people who should shoot and score goals," said Fleischmann, who has led the Panthers in scoring in each of his first two years with Florida. "I have to pick it up." Since Dec. 8, he has one goal and five assists.

Tomas Fleischmann's miserable season continued Thursday as he was held pointless in a 3-0 loss to San Jose. Fleischmann has registered just two points in his last 11 contests and has scored only two goals over his last 33. We simply can't recommend him in leagues of any size at this point.

Tomas Fleischmann had an assist in Florida's 2-1 loss on Saturday. It was just Fleischmann's second point in nine games. He was fantastic in 2011-12 with 61 points in 82 contests and he followed it up with 35 points in 48 games in the shortened campaign. He's taken a major step back with just 21 points in 44 games this season.

Tomas Fleischmann didn't get an invite from the Czech Republic to play in the Winter Olympics. "I had a great time in Vancouver [in 2010 Olympics]," Fleischmann said before the team was announced. "I always dreamed about making the Olympic team. I was happy I did and it was a fun time against the best players in the NHL and around the world." He was probably disappointed that he wasn't able to crack their roster this time around. However, the decision isn't surprising because Fleischmann has struggled offensively this season with five goals and 15 assists in 42 matches.

Tomas Fleischmann tallied his fifth marker of the 2013-14 season. He scored the first goal of the game in Tuesday's 3-1 win against Toronto. In his previous two seasons with the Panthers, Fleischmann was a stable source of offense, but he's had a difficult time producing offense this year. He has 18 points in 34 games.
