T.J. Galiardi left the Bietigheim Steelers of Germany's 2nd Bundesliga after sustaining a knee injury. Galiardi had three goals and six points in seven contests with the Steelers. He was healthy enough to skate with the WHL Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday. "I figured I'd get some practices in with my old team," Galiardi said. "I feel a little old right now. But that's OK. The guys are good guys. All hockey teams are fun and it's only a matter of time before we start chirping each other."

He had nine goals and 15 points in 69 games, but only one goal in 14 games with the Sharks after being acquired in a deal for Jamie McGinn. He had 15 goals and 39 points in 70 games during the 2009-10 season but has struggled with injuries the last two years, including two wrist injuries in 2010-11 which forced him to miss 46 games.
