He's now at 16 goals, 39 points, 172 shots on net, 100 hits, 48 blocked shots, 52 PIM and a plus-12 rating through 60 outings overall.

Meier is in the midst of a four-game point streak in which he's piled up a goal and five assists, and on the season the streaky winger has 15 goals and 37 points across 52 appearances.

His one-timer from the top of the faceoff circle late in the third period got the Devils to within a goal, but they weren't able to get level before a Scott Laughton empty-netter iced the game.
