Despite being placed of waivers over the weekend, Tim Stapleton may stick with the Winnipeg Jets and not be assigned to the minors. "When you get down to smaller numbers the decisions are (made) with more and more scrutiny," said GM Kevin Cheveldayoff. The Winnipeg Jets have placed Tim Stapleton on waivers. Stapleton will ultimately end up in the AHL. He has been on waivers in the past, with no claims ever made. Stapleton has had little success in the NHL throughout his career.
