Tim Connolly hasn't scored a goal in 16 consecutive games. Connolly has just one goal in his last 26 games. "He's struggling out there and that's something we've got to figure out," Leafs head coach Ron Wilson said. Needless to say Connolly is in a major slump, but if healthy, he possesses the talent to go on a tear at any time.

Tim Connolly will center Toronto's first line on Monday night against Los Angeles. He will take Tyler Bozak's spot between Phil Kessel and Joffrey Lupul to try to add some defensive awareness to the combination. "They've scored a lot of goals, but been on the ice for a lot," coach Ron Wilson said. "It's just a chance to find a little bit more balance in our scoring and balance in our defense." Bozak will likely stay with Kessel and Lupul during power play situations though.

Tim Connolly will likely face the boo-birds in his return to Buffalo on Friday night. "Injuries surely played a part," said Buffalo radio personality Chris (The Bulldog) Parker. "Producing in the playoffs was a problem. Mostly he wasn't (Chris) Drury or (Daniel) Briere and was left behind after they left and bore the brunt of the team falling apart after July of '07." Connolly has been productive with the Maple Leafs when he's been healthy this season, with 15 points in 18 games. He is presently playing on a dependable two-way line, with Colby Armstrong and Clarke MacArthur, and is coming off a two-goal performance against Carolina on Tuesday.

Tim Connolly scored a goal and dished out a pair of helpers in the Maple Leafs' 7-1 dismantling of Tampa Bay Tuesday. He's had his customary troubles staying in the lineup, but with 10 points in as many games Connolly is proving his value to the Leafs. Tyler Bozak also had a fantastic game with two goals and an assist while Matt Frattin and Jake Gardiner also had multi-point nights with a pair of assists each.

The Toronto Maple Leafs expect their injury-prone center Tim Connolly to return from his upper-body injury on Nov. 17. Connolly has been out of action since he had a tough night against the Boston Bruins on Nov. 5. To his credit, Connolly has been productive in the six games he played in so far this season, with one goal and three assists for four points. If you're willing to stay on top of his injury updates, he's not an awful depth option. It's tough to say that he's worth the trouble right now, though.

There's a chance Tim Connolly (upper body) will return for Tuesday's game against Phoenix. "I'm a lot better than where I was a week ago, and seemed to have really turned the corner here," Connolly said. "It's only a matter of days before I am back and ready to go." Maple Leafs coach Ron Wilson said Connolly return on Tuesday would be "a bonus." Nothing has been set in stone yet and we wouldn't be surprised if his return got pushed back to Thursday. Stay tuned.

Tim Connolly has an upper body injury and will miss 10-14 days as a result. Although Leafs coach Ron Wilson wouldn't go into detail about what's bothering Connolly, he did say that it's not related to his previous shoulder problems. Connolly has been limited to just six games this season. We'll keep you posted.
