Jeannot's offense has been quiet to begin 2022-23 -- his goal Tuesday was his first point in five games. The physical winger has added 21 hits, 10 shots on net, nine PIM and a minus-1 rating as a part of the Predators' third line. He had 24 goals and 17 assists in 81 contests last year, but he shot 19.4 percent, so it's fair to expect some regression in his second full season.

Jeannot recorded an assist and two hits in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 4.

The Predators exited the postseason in just four games, but not before Jeannot earned his first playoff point with a helper on a Yakov Trenin goal in the second period. Jeannot clearly hit the rookie wall in April, logging just one goal and one assist in his last 19 appearances between the regular season and playoffs. That watered down an otherwise impressive rookie year that saw the winger post 41 points, 318 hits, 130 PIM and 124 shots on net in 81 regular-season outings.

He continues to play mostly on the Preds' third line these days, but he's certainly been making the most of his scoring opportunities. Jeannot's future seems to be very bright in Nashville, indeed -- grab him off your league's waiver wire if he's somehow still available.

Jeannot tied the game at four goals apiece with 9:19 remaining despite Florida being up a man at the time, and he sealed the win by scoring into the empty net with 1:32 to go. With 17 goals in 51 games, Jeannot's on pace to surpass 25 goals in his first full NHL season.

Jeannot finished with seven PIM and five hits in a 5-2 loss to the Jets on Saturday.
