Simon Gagne scored a power-play goal in his Philadelphia return Wednesday night during the Flyers' 4-1 win over Washington. He logged 16 minute of ice time and posted four shots after arriving in Philadelphia at 6:10 on Wednesday morning. "I didn't have a nice night of sleep," Gagne said. "At the end, coming here and getting a big win, scoring that tap-in goal, that was a good scenario for sure." Gagne also hadn't played since Feb. 17, but he rode the emotion of being back in Philadelphia to a strong performance.

Simon Gagne said he will be in the lineup Wednesday night for the Flyers versus Washington. "I'll take the red-eye and fly all night," he said after being reacquired from Los Angeles Tuesday night. "It's going to be a special game, but I'll try to take all that emotion and try to bring that energy to the game." Gagne has been a healthy scratch six times for the Kings this year and had five assists in 11 games prior to being dealt. He played with Philadelphia from 1999-2000 to 2009-10, so perhaps being back in a familiar setting will help snap him out of his funk.

The Los Angeles Kings traded Simon Gagne to the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday in exchange for a conditional fourth-round draft pick. Gagne has spent much of this season in the press box for the Kings, who are unlikely to miss him on the ice. However, Gagne could be a definite help to the Flyers, who desperately need more scoring on the wing with Matt Read (ribs) out. Gagne spent the first 10 years of his NHL career in Philly and made two All-Star teams as a Flyer. He's been besieged by injuries ever since his final years with the Flyers, though, and his fantasy value is still limited. For now, owners in deeper leagues could take a chance on Gagne, but he's still more of a watch-and-see prospect despite the change of scenery.

Simon Gagne was a healthy scratch Monday. He was joined in the press box by Andrew Campbell and Brad Richardson. Gagne has only five assists in 11 games and has not played since Feb. 17th. The Kings have been playing well of late so Gagne may have a tough time getting back into the lineup.

Simon Gagne might be a healthy scratch Tuesday night. He stayed out late on the ice during the team's morning practice with Brad Richardson. Colin Fraser may be inserted into the lineup in his place. Gagne has no goals and five assists in 11 games this season and he logged just 12:14 of ice time against Chicago on Sunday.

Coach Darryl Sutter put Simon Gagne on a line with Mike Richards and Jeff Carter in practice Sunday. We guess that the line will be called the "Flyer Line" as the troika played in Philadelphia for five seasons. Gagne has four assists in five games this season as he has spent some time in the press box. Look for the trio to be together Monday when they take on San Jose.

Simon Gagne has spent two of the Kings first three games in the press box. Gagne had a minus-three rating in Los Angeles' season opener. We expect him to work his way back onto one of the Kings' top two lines eventually, but it's obviously troubling to see him in coach Darryl Sutter's doghouse this early into the season.

Simon Gagne has recovered from off-season neck surgery. Gagne had the procedure three weeks ago. He was limited to just 34 regular season games last season. He missed over five months before he finally returned for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals.

It looks like Simon Gagne will probably stay on the fourth line in Game 5 on Saturday. Gagne's playing time has been limited since he returned on June 4 from a concussion. He doesn't have a point yet, but he might be a factor in Game 5 despite his position in the depth charts.

Simon Gagne is expected to remain in the lineup for Los Angeles in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Wednesday night. He logged just 6:39 of ice time in his first game back since Dec. 26 on Monday. Gagne had three shots and received a slashing penalty late in the second period. "Hopefully he's better tonight," coach Darryl Sutter said. Gagne feels like his reintroduction to playing again in Game 3 will benefit him going into this contest. "Going there now, I know what to expect and watching the tape of all my shifts, I could change a couple of things," he said. "Now I definitely want to take it to the next level tonight."
