Weber (lower body) is flying back to Montreal to meet with doctors and will miss the team's next two games, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
It had already been announced that the Habs' defensive stalwart would miss Monday's contest in Florida, but this news casts some doubt on Weber's health with the postseason fast approaching. Expect a further update on Weber's condition at some point during this week, with Nikita Nesterov stepping in to the lineup in the meantime.

Weber has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Panthers due to a lower-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
Weber has played in each of the team's 78 games prior to Monday, making it his first absence of the season. The veteran blueliner played the entirety of the club's last game against Tampa Bay, so the cause of his injury remains a bit of a mystery. Montreal fans and Weber owners in the fantasy playoffs will certainly hope the issue is short-term, but more information on his timeline should arise in the near future.

Weber scored his 17th goal of the season in Saturday's 3-1 win over Ottawa.
EDGE Analysis
Weber has done it in 75 games. Hitting 20 goals like he did last season seem impossible given the time remaining. But Weber has started to pick up the pace again with four points (two goals, two assists) in his last six games. Roll him.

Weber collected two assists during Monday's win over New Jersey.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran rearguard has now marked the scoresheet in just three of his past 13 games for two goals and five points. Additionally, his minus-9 rating during that stretch is a crippler. While Weber remains a must-own asset in all fantasy settings, the best years of the 31-year-old defenseman's career are likely in the rearview mirror. It isn't out of the question to consider selling high in keeper/dynasty settings for the right return, either.

Weber posted a power-play goal and an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
He drove all of Montreal's regulation offense while getting on the scoresheet for only the second time in his last 10 games. Weber got off to an insanely hot start this year, but like most of the rest of the Habs, he's cooled off in a big way. In fact, he has just 17 points and a minus-4 rating in his past 40 games; that's low-end production for a fantasy blueliner, and it's torture for owners who dished out a pretty penny to acquire Weber's services on draft day.

Weber tallied a goal and five shots in 24:29 during a 4-2 defeat against the Blues on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
As he normally does, Weber led his team in ice time while also leading the Canadiens in shots. It was his first five-shot effort since Jan. 20 and first goal since Jan. 26. Weber has 13 goals and 32 points in 57 games this season. He's done much better in the plus/minus category in 2016-17, his first in Montreal, but right now, he's behind his 2015-16 pace in both goals and points.

Weber posted a speed of 102.8 mph in the NHL Hardest Shot event at the All-Star Skills Competition on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't close to his 108.1 mph mark last season, or 108.5 mph mark in 2015, but it was good enough to post the highest speed for the third straight year. Zdeno Chara of the Bruins holds the NHL's record at 108.8 mph (2012).

Weber scored a power-play goal on five shots while blocking two shots and delivering two hits over 24:31 of ice time in Friday's 3-1 win over the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
The third-period tally turned out to be the game-winner and snapped a four-game point-less streak for Weber, who leads Montreal with nine power-play goals this season. The workhorse defenseman's had a 10-game point-less streak this season, but apart from that, he's been a pretty consistent scorer from the back end.

Weber registered two assists (one on the power play) with three shots on net, four blocked shots and a plus-3 rating during Wednesday's win over Winnipeg.
EDGE Analysis
After a little offensive lull (two assists through 14 games), Weber has nine points -- two goals -- through his past eight games, including three two-assist showings over his past four contests. When he's hitting the scoresheet regularly, the veteran defenseman is a fantasy monster because of his excellent production in the peripheral categories. For the campaign, Weber is up to 10 goals, 28 points and 103 shots with 26 PIM, 83 hits, 90 blocked shots and a plus-19 rating. A career year is within reach.

Weber assisted on two goals in Montreal's 5-3 win over Toronto on Saturday. He added six minutes in penalties, five shots on goal, four blocked shots and a hit in a team-high 26:14 of ice time.
EDGE Analysis
Saturday's two points was the second straight multi-point effort from Weber, who has emerged from a 10-game fallow period to post eight points in the last eight games. The 31-year-old rearguard has 26 points and a plus-17 rating in 40 games. He's been heavily influential in Montreal's ability to withstand a glut of injuries and maintain their spot atop the Atlantic Division.
