Doan wasn't about to let Rangers goalie Antti Raanta skate off the ice with a shutout. The 39-year-old vet accepted a pass from Kyle Chipchura and got on the scoresheet with only 4.6 seconds left in the game. Doan now has six points this season. The oldie-but-goodie will provide more than the occasional point, but he could afford to tighten up defensively considering his minus-7 rating is currently the worst on his team.

Coach Dave Tippett clearly wants to play rookies Max Domi and Anthony Duclair together on the second line, so Doan will certainly benefit from the promotion.
