It was a big night for Jarvis, who snapped a five-game point drought and doubled his point total from the last 10 games. He's up to 13 points (seven goals, six assists) and is on a 60-point pace. Jarvis sometimes gets forgotten within the strong Canes forward corps. He shouldn't. He's now tied with Jesperi Kotkaniemi for second in team scoring behind only Sebastian Aho.

Jarvis ended up with two assists in Friday's 3-0 home victory against the Sharks.

Jarvis managed to post a plus-2 rating, three shots on goal and a blocked shot with four hits in 17:11 of ice time across 19 shifts. He won four of his nine tries at the faceoff dot, or 44.4 percent of his attempts. Although it's still early, Jarvis is currently on pace to shatter his career highs in the offensive categories in 2023-24.

The 21-year-old opened the scoring just over four minutes into the first period on a 5-on-3 man advantage before giving the Hurricanes a 4-0 lead early in the third by beating Ilya Sorokin on a breakaway. The tallies were the first of this postseason for Jarvis, and the power-play goal was especially remarkable considering he went the entire regular season without one. He'll look to build on this performance Tuesday as Carolina attempts to wrap up the series and advance to the second round.

Jarvis had a great second half of February with seven points in five games (including a hat trick Feb. 16 against the Canadiens), but he's been stone cold so far in March, with just a pair of helpers in his last eight games. He's still seeing a ton of ice time, with an average TOI of 18:50 in his last three games (including 1:33 on the power play), so he remains a decent fantasy start most nights.
