The Hurricanes can roll their lines effectively, so Jarvis can be successful from just about anywhere in the lineup.

Jarvis has been scuffling a bit as of late, although overall he still has a solid 19 points in 27 games, putting him on pace for a 55- to 60-point season. He's still skating mainly on the Canes' top line alongside Sebastian Aho and Michael Bunting, so as long as he continues to see top-six minutes (he had a season high 22:14 TOI Saturday with 5:09 coming on the PP), he's worth starting in most formats.

Jarvis was big in the Hurricanes' comeback, assisting on the game-tying goal by Brady Skjei as well as the game-winner from Andrei Svechnikov. This was Jarvis' third multi-point effort in the last four games, following his five-game point drought in the middle of November. The 21-year-old is in his third full campaign and looks set to take a step forward on offense when all is said and done. He's posted eight goals, nine helpers, 43 shots on net, 28 hits and an even plus-minus rating through 20 appearances while firmly establishing himself in the top six.

Jarvis has erupted for three goals and five points over the last two games, and while he's been streaky to begin the season, he's still headed for a breakout campaign with 15 points through 18 contests to go along with 27 hits and 43 shots on goal.

He gave the Canes the lead at 11:52 of the third period when he redirected a centering pass from Jaccob Slavin. And then he put in an empty netter in the last minute to seal the win. It was a big night for Jarvis, who snapped a five-game point drought and doubled his point total from the last 10 games. He's up to 13 points (seven goals, six assists) and is on a 60-point pace. Jarvis sometimes gets forgotten within the strong Canes forward corps. He shouldn't. He's now tied with Jesperi Kotkaniemi for second in team scoring behind only Sebastian Aho.

Jarvis managed to post a plus-2 rating, three shots on goal and a blocked shot with four hits in 17:11 of ice time across 19 shifts. He won four of his nine tries at the faceoff dot, or 44.4 percent of his attempts. Although it's still early, Jarvis is currently on pace to shatter his career highs in the offensive categories in 2023-24.
