Ellis scored a goal and added an assist in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Jets on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Despite playing only 37 games, Ellis is still on track to post his third straight 30-point season. His 0.7 points per game average is the highest of his career, and it's even more incredible when considering his shooting percentage has decreased almost 3.0 percent from last season. The secret behind his success has been 18 assists, which is just four shy of a career high.

Ellis extended his point streak to four games with his seventh goal of the season in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Ellis has been absolutely on fire since the start of February, with 19 points in his last 20 games. He now has 24 points in 32 games since missing the first three months of the season with a knee injury, and he's a big reason why the Preds are currently the top team in the Western Conference. It's taken a few years for Ellis to display the same scoring prowess he showed back in junior with OHL Windsor, but he's really showing that he belongs among the elite offensive blueliners in the NHL right now. He should be in your fantasy lineups whenever the Preds take to the ice.

Ellis recorded a goal and two assists in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win against the Avalanche on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Ellis was dominant in this one, tying the game in the dying minutes of the third with his sixth goal of the season, then assisting on Filip Forsberg's game-winner in the extra frame. Ellis now has 13 points in his last 11 games, making him one of the best fantasy blue line options out there.

Ellis posted a goal, an assist on the overtime game-winner and five shots on goal in a 4-3 victory against the Canucks on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
Injuries have hurt Ellis' production this season, but he's back healthy and producing at the moment. In his last seven games, Ellis has two goals and eight points while averaging more than 22 minutes of ice time per game. Ellis has a chance to be one of the better fantasy defensemen in the final month of the season.

Ellis dished out two helpers in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
Ellis matched fellow blueliner Roman Josi's contributions to the scoresheet for the second consecutive night, giving both four points in that span. After struggling early in his return from a significant knee injury, Ellis has rounded into form with a goal and seven assists over his past nine games.

Ellis scored and added an assist -- both on the power play -- during Monday's 5-2 win over Ottawa.
EDGE Analysis
Now up to four goals and seven assists through 20 games for the campaign, Ellis is building on last season's breakout showing. Additionally, considering he's in the heart of his offensive prime and locked into a top-four role with power-play time, his lengthy injury absence to start the year could have him undervalued in some fantasy circles. Ellis also offers solid production in the peripheral categories with 49 shots, 35 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating.

Ellis recorded his fourth consecutive pointless game Saturday against the Rangers, but saw ice time of 23:04 including a season-high 5:33 on the power play.
EDGE Analysis
Ellis now has just five points in 12 games since returning from knee surgery that caused him to miss the first half of the season. He's still seeing a ton of ice time, skating on the first defensive pairing opposite Roman Josi, but he' still not producing quite in line with what you'd expect for a top defender. Keep him on your fantasy bench until he starts to show a little more consistency, scoring-wise.

Ellis tied the game late and assisted on the opening goal in Thursday's shootout win over the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Ellis made his season debut on Jan.2 following offseason knee surgery and he's wasted no time reminding fantasy goers why he's a must-own blueliner. The 27-year-old has logged over 22 minutes of ice time in consecutive outings and has racked up two goals and four points in the six games he's played in. Ellis is back to his normal role on the top defensive pairing and first power-play unit, so be sure to scoop him up if he still happens to be available.

Ellis logged 18:27 of ice time with a hit and two blocked shots in his season debut against the Golden Knights on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Ellis was eased into the mix, as he recorded around five fewer minutes against his average playing time from last season. The Predators were shut out in his first outing of the 2017-18 campaign, but Ellis should be fine once he gets his legs back. The Canadian defenseman recorded 38 points (16 goals, 22 assists) and 137 blocked shots through 72 contests last season, plus his fine-two way play helped Nashville advance to the 2017 Western Conference finals.

Ellis (knee) will be in the lineup for the first time this season when the Predators take on the Golden Knights on Tuesday night.
EDGE Analysis
The strong Predators' blue line corps is about to get even stronger with the addition of Ellis, though it remains to be seen the type of individual production the veteran defenseman will be able provide following offseason knee surgery. Regardless, the 26-year-old will at least be worth keeping an eye on, as he is likely to take on a major role with this potent unit at some point in the near future.
