Sarah Baicker of CSN Philadelphia expects Emery to start Thursday's game against the Canucks. We'll await conformation of the assignment, but with Rob Zepp having started Wednesday's game against the Caps, Emery appears poised to make his first appearance in net for Flyers since Saturday's loss to the Bruins.

Updating a previous report, Emery will not receive the start in goal Wednesday against the Capitals, Sarah Baicker of CSN Philadelphia reports. Coach Craig Berube appeared set to roll with Emery for the first game of a back-to-back set, but he apparently had a change of heart Wednesday morning, turning instead to the newly-recalled Rob Zepp. Emery figures to get the nod for Thursday's date with Vancouver, but in any event, it doesn't look like he will be guaranteed the No. 1 goalie job with Steve Mason (lower body) unavailable for at least the next two weeks. Expect Berube to try to find a hot goalie in the interim, with Zepp and Emery both likely to receive a roughly even distribution of starts until one clearly outplays the other.

Emery will get the start in net Wednesday against Washington, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports. With Steve Mason still dealing with a lower body injury, Emery will be in net Wednesday against the Capitals. Mason could miss up to two weeks, however, fantasy owners will want to avoid Emery if it all possible, as he has registered some of the worst numbers of his career this season. Emery has gone 7-7-1 through 16 games this year while posting a 3.21 GAA and .889 save percentage.

Emery was atrocious in relief of the injured Steve Mason (knee) on Saturday, giving up three goals on 13 shots in a 3-1 loss to the Bruins. Emery was forced into the game less than eight minutes in, as Mason was forced to leave due to a knee issue. In 16 appearances this year -- 13 of them starts -- the 32-year-old has posted some of the worst ratios of his career (3.21 GAA, .889 save percentage). Even if the injury to Mason allows Emery to string together a few starts in a row for the disappointing Flyers, it's best to tread lightly with him. Or not at all, if you can help it.

Emery is likely to receive the start in goal Thursday against the Capitals, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. With No. 1 netminder Steve Mason requiring an MRI after likely tweaking his back Tuesday night, Emery could assume the starting gig once again for the Flyers. He's continually proven ill-equipped to handle a larger workload when called upon this season, delivering an ugly 3.19 GAA and .893 save percentage over 15 appearances. However, with few other alternatives available, Emery will retain the team's nominal No. 1 goalie title for however long Mason remains sidelined.

Emery lasted just one period of Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Devils, getting the early pull after surrendering three goals on 10 shots. The two goals Emery allowed to Jaromir Jagr -- who finished the night with a hat trick -- were particularly troubling. A misplay on the goalie's part resulted in Jagr's first tally, while Emery then let the aging winger beat him again with just 3.8 seconds remaining in the period to end his night prematurely. The Flyers entered the weekend with a strong possibility to capture wins against two of the East's weaker teams (Carolina and New Jersey), but through the play of Emery and others, they came away with no points. Despite having more wins (seven) than No. 1 goalie Steve Mason (six), Emery's plummeting ratios probably won't earn him many more frequent starts.

Emery will make the start in net Saturday against the Devils, John Boruk of CSN Philadelphia reports. The Flyers will turn the net over to Emery after Steve Mason was on the losing end of Friday's start against the Hurricanes. Though he sports a 7-5-1 record across 14 appearances, Emery has been subpar this season, even by the standards of a backup goalie. His 3.04 GAA and .898 save percentage suggests he's benefited from some strong production from his offense during his starts.

Emery gave up three goals on 37 shots in Saturday's loss to the Predators. A great effort from Emery, who was beat three times on the power play in the loss. With Steve Mason (back) nearing a return, expect Razor to fall back into the backup role very soon. With a 7-5-1 record and a .919 even-strength save percentage, Emery is a decent fantasy option whenever Mason gets the night off.

Emery will be between the pipes Tuesday against the Predators, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Emery will start for the third time in four games Saturday while Steve Mason (back) remains unavailable, but his run as the Flyers' No. 1 starter could be nearing an end. Mason was able to get in an on-ice workout Saturday and said he felt "close to 100 percent," perhaps signaling his return to the net for Monday's game against the Coyotes. If this is indeed the swan song for Emery, he wouldn't seem to be a viable play Saturday, as he'll match up against Pekka Rinne, who has been unquestionably the league's best goalie this season.

Emery collected his third consecutive win Tuesday, making 22 saves in a 4-2 win over the Wild. Back in net after watching from the bench while 32-year-old rookie Rob Zepp earned his first NHL win Sunday, Emery delivered a sound performance. However, despite his recent successes, his rate stats remain hideous, and Emery will be back on the bench once Steve Mason returns from his back injury, which could be as soon as the beginning of next week.
