Vrbata grabbed the game's second star Saturday, pitching in a power-play goal, though the Coyotes lost to the Bruins, 2-1.
EDGE Analysis
Vrbata may have fell out of favor in Vancouver, where he played the last two seasons, but his reunion with the Coyotes has him looking rejuvenated. The 35-year-old Czech has tacked on a team-high six goals with five helpers in 14 games, while sharing the points lead with second-year tantalizer Max Domi. As a fantasy owner, it's easy to overlook players on struggling teams -- Arizona is last in the Pacific Division (5-9-0) -- but don't make that mistake with Vrbata, as he's been playing terrific hockey.

Vrbata handed out a pair of assists -- one on the power play -- in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Coming off a brutal season with Vancouver, expectations were low for Vrbata in his return to the desert for his third stint as a Coyote, but he's rattled off a solid four goals and nine points through 12 games. He's also gone plus-2 despite playing for a last-place Coyotes team that owns a minus-9 goal differential. Don't overreact to the veteran's good start, but there's clearly some value to be found here in deeper formats.

Vrbata scored both of Arizona's goals in Sunday's loss to the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Vrbata has scored in back-to-back games and is now riding a three-game point streak. The sniper is skating on the top line and has piled up five points in five games thus far. He shoots the puck often and is only a couple years removed from a 31-goal-season, so there's no harm in grabbing him off the waiver wire if he still available.

Vrbata scored his first goal of the season and registered three shots on net during Friday's game against the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Vrbata is up to a goal and two helpers through four games this season, and he boasts an impressive 13 shots. He's far from a flashy fantasy asset, but it wouldn't be shocking if he had a bounce-back year and approached 25 goals and 55 points. He's averaged 3:32 of power-play time to start the season and is a high-volume shooter, after all. Plus, most of his best offensive seasons have come with the Coyotes. The veteran is just a year removed from a 31-goal, 63-point campaign, too.

Vrbata (knee) will be in action against the Kings in Monday's preseason matchup.
EDGE Analysis
Vrbata joined the Yotes from Vancouver during the offseason. While in the Great White North, the winger notched 13 goals and 14 helpers but was a horrific minus-30. His plus/minus rating, along with concerns about his knee injury, likely convinced the Canucks to let the 35-year-old walk, but Arizona were willing to take the risk and had the cap space to sign him to a one-year deal worth $1 million. Vrbata will be high risk, high reward for fantasy owners depending on whether we get the 2014-15 player that racked up 63 points or the 2015-16 veteran who snagged 27 points.

Vrbata (knee) signed a one-year, $1 million deal with the Coyotes on Monday, Craig Custance of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arizona apparently is not concerned about Vrbata's knee injury that sidelined him for the final 13 games of the 2015-16 season. It was a disappointing year for the veteran as he managed a meager 27 points in 63 contests. Owners may want to let the 35-year-old pass except in the deepest of leagues, and then consider picking him up if he can show he still has some left in the tank.

Vrbata (knee) will be let go by the Canucks according to general manager Jim Benning on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Vrbata was sidelined for the end of the 2015-16 season, which could cause potential suitors to hesitate when considering whether to bring him into the fold. At 35 years old, the winger could be facing an uphill battle to earn playing time due to his age as well as defensive concerns. In 63 contests, Vrbata was an astonishing minus-30 despite tallying 27 points offensively. Even if the veteran does get picked up, it is doubtful he will secure a contract anything like his two-year, $10 million deal he signed with the Vancouver in 2014.

Vrbata (knee) has been shut down for the season.
EDGE Analysis
An apparent right knee injury that Vrbata suffered Friday against the Oilers has led the Canucks to shut him down for the season. The 34-year-old winger, who finishes the 2015-16 campaign with 13 goals and 27 points in 63 games, to go along with a minus-30 rating, is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Vrbata (lower body) won't play Saturday against the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Vrbata is just the latest addition to the laundry list of injuries the Canucks are currently dealing with. The 34-year-old winger has had a highly disappointing season, notching just 27 points (13 goals, 14 assists) in 63 games. He'll hope to return to action Tuesday against the Jets.

Vrbata registered two assists in Saturday's 4-2 win over the visiting Predators.
EDGE Analysis
Vancouver hasn't been all that kind to Vrbata in his second season with the team, as his points Saturday bring him to just 27 in 60 games -- well off his pace of the 31 goals and 63 points of 2014-15. While that's disappointing in it's own right, his absolutely abhorrent minus-29 rating has really hurt owners counting on the 34-year-old for his volume-shooting (194 shots on goal) and goal-scoring prowess. To make matters worse, he's only found twine 13 times this year, which has him on track to finish with the lowest goal total over a full NHL season since 2006-07, when he potted 14 with Chicago.
