This was Byfield's third multi-point effort in six games, but he went scoreless in the other three. The 22-year-old center is up to 46 points (19 goals, 27 helpers), 142 shots on net, 71 hits, 38 PIM and a plus-14 rating over 73 outings this season. He's a little behind his 55-point breakout from 2023-24, but he's still doing well for a young middle-six center.

Byfield was one of five Kings to earn multiple points in this blowout win. The 22-year-old had four points over the weekend back-to-back against the Hurricanes and the Bruins, and he's up to eight goals and two assists through 12 outings in March. Overall, Byfield has 19 goals, 44 points, 134 shots on net, 69 hits and a plus-14 rating through 69 appearances. After a sluggish start to the year, he's rebounded nicely and should end the campaign with a career high in goals.

Every Kings forward got onto the scoresheet in the rout, and Byfield waited until late to get in on the action, potting the team's sixth goal before helping to set up Kevin Fiala for the seventh. It was Byfield's first multi-point performance since Feb. 24, but he's been lighting the lamp with frequency in March -- over the last nine games he has seven goals, but only one helper.
