Kochetkov will protect the road goal versus the Blues on Saturday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kochetkov won his season debut, stopping 24 of 26 shots versus the Devils on Tuesday. The 25-year-old netminder has alternated starts with Frederik Andersen so far, and that arrangement could continue if both goalies play well. The Blues have scored just 13 goals over five games, so Kochetkov has a somewhat favorable matchup.

Kochetkov made 23 saves in his season debut in a 4-2 win over New Jersey on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
He was sharp. Jack Hughes beat him with a perfect low wrist shot off the rush early in the second period. And Nico Hischier roofed the puck at 15:16 of the third on a five-on-three power power play. Don't be surprised to see Kochetkov move into the starter's seat this season and perhaps never relinquish it. Frederik Andersen is talented, but so injury prone. And Kochetkov proved he was more than capable to start last season.

EDGE Analysis
Kochetkov will make his 2024-25 season debut after Frederik Andersen took the opener against the Lightning on Friday. Last season, the 25-year-old Kochetkov went 23-13-4 with a 2.33 GAA and four shutouts in 42 regular-season outings. If he can live up to those numbers this year, Kochetkov could play his way into a split share with Andersen.

Kochetkov made 16 saves on 17 shots in Friday's 2-1 overtime exhibition win against Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Kochetkov has played well in two preseason contests to this point, turning aside 38 of 40 shots. The 25-year-old could push for the No. 1 netminding gig with the Hurricanes this year, especially given Frederik Andersen's age and recent injury history, though the latter has performed admirably when healthy. Kochetkov will look to build off his strong season in 2023-24 -- he sported a record of 23-13-4 with a .911 save percentage and a 2.33 GAA in 42 regular-season appearances.

EDGE Analysis
Kochetkov has made just one other appearance, stopping 22 of 23 shots versus the Lightning on Sept. 24. The 25-year-old Kochetkov will challenge Frederik Andersen for playing time behind a strong Hurricanes team this season.

Kochetkov will defend the road net Tuesday in preseason action versus Tampa Bay, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kochetkov compiled a 23-13-4 record with four shutouts, a 2.33 GAA and a .911 save percentage over 42 regular-season contests in 2023-24. Even if Frederik Andersen stays healthy this campaign, Kochetkov could push for plenty of starts. The talented duo may share time in the crease in 2024-25.

Kochetkov allowed three goals on 25 shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Rangers in Game 3.
EDGE Analysis
Making his first appearance of the postseason, Kochetkov held the Rangers off the board in the first period. However, New York would answer with goals in the second and third before Artemi Panarin tallied the game-winner in overtime. The 24-year-old Kochetkov served as Carolina's primary starting option while Frederik Andersen was unavailable for much of the regular season -- he went 23-13-4 with a .911 save percentage. Andersen will likely be back in net Saturday for Game 4.

Kochetkov will get the starting nod at home versus the Rangers in Game 3 on Thursday, Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kochetkov will make his first appearance in goal for the Canes since April 14 against the Blackhawks, a stretch of eight games on the bench. While the team did split the workload between the 24-year-old backstop and Frederik Andersen down the stretch, if Kochetkov does secure a win in Game 3, he should probably be considered a lock to start Game 4 as well.

Kochetkov stopped 14 of 16 shots in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Kochetkov won his fourth straight start, though this wasn't the prettiest of performances for the 24-year-old. He's allowed five goals on 81 shots during the winning streak. Kochetkov improved to 23-13-4 with a 2.33 GAA and a .911 save percentage through 42 appearances this season. He's started every other game since late February, so it's likely Frederik Andersen will get the nod versus the Blue Jackets on Tuesday in the Hurricanes' regular-season finale.

EDGE Analysis
Kochetkov and Frederik Andersen continue to split reps evenly down the stretch as Carolina gears up for the postseason. During his three-game winning streak, Kochetkov has allowed just three goals on 65 shots. He's now 22-13-4 with a strong 2.34 GAA and .911 save percentage through 41 games.
